This stuff is the crack cocaine of chewing gum. Now that I’ve had a little time to adapt, I have a new perspective. Today I did a back to back taste test between Bubble Yum and Double Bubble. The winner? Double Bubble. It’s more flavorful and sweet; and it lasts longer. I officially prefer Double Bubble to Bubble Yum. I would never have believed it. So now I don’t care that Hershey’s discontinues Bubble Yum. It would be cool if it came in grape, but beggars can’t be choosers. The only place where Bubble Yum excels is... blowing bubbles. DB doesn’t come close, despite its name. I’t also a bit harder to chew. The first bite is quite hard, but it softens as you chew. —————- Here’s the deal. The best gum I’ve ever had is Sugarless Bubble Yum. Hands down. Soft and full of flavor. Massively easy to blow monster bubbles. Well, Hershey discontinued them. There’s even a bonehead on eBay selling a 12-pack for over $1,000. So I went with Double Bubble. It’s much harder than Bubble Yum, which I didn’t like. The one hard gum that I liked was Bazooka because it got softer. Double Bubble flavor is excellent. That classic bubble gum taste. Lots of flavor and lasts a decent amount of time. I would never know it’s sugarless. Pros: —It comes in little plastic packages. Very easy to carry in pockets and easy to remove from the packet. Bubble Yum would get very tacky when warm, and would stick to the paper wrap. It would also leave a sticky mess in your pockets. —Tastes great —Lasts a reasonable amount of time —Easy to carry in your pockets —Doesn’t seem to melt like Bubble Yum Cons: —It’s hard and sort of rubbery, which isn’t as satisfying as Bubble Yum So while it’s not perfect, it’s excellent stuff. I’ll continue to purchase it. Hopefully it won’t be discontinued.

I love Double Bubble gum. So do my foster kiddos. I don't love that regular Double Bubble is packed with unnecessary sugar and is about 15 calories a piece. This gum has no sugar and only 5 calories a piece. Why does this matter? I can easily eat 10 pieces of gum a day without even thinking about it. Ten pieces adds up in calorie content pretty fast - 150 calories for 10 pieces of gum? That's the same amount of calories as an unfrosted blueberry Poptart! 10 pieces of this gum is only 50 calories. And let's face it- my kiddos do not need any extra hyper-ness caused by sugar. So the fact these are sugar free bought me over. All of the gum comes packaged away in a small box (very easy to store on a pantry shelf!). I received 12 bags with 20 pieces in each bag. It's been about a month and a half and my [five] kids and I have only finished half of the box. Each individual piece of gum is wrapped in its own plastic wrapper. Kids over the age of 6 to 7 can easily get the wrapper open by itself. The gum is sweet and tastes almost exactly like regular Dubble Bubble. But the texture is very different. This gum is a bit tougher to chew and isn't as soft and ply-able. With that being said, you can still blow bubbles with it and it keeps kids chomping for 20 minutes or so. The flavor wears out really quickly. For me, within about 10 minutes, the flavor is almost entirely gone. Regular Dubble Bubble's flavor lasts a bit longer than this, but what do you expect when the sugar is missing? This gum still tastes sweet and has that stereotypical bubble gum flavor that I crave. These pieces are a great way to reward my kids for positive behavior. They're not super high calorie or packed with sugar- but the kids still feel like they're getting a fun piece of candy. Our local grocery store doesn't carry sugar free Dubble Bubble, so it's nice that I can purchase it in bulk online. I'll definitely be back for more. I really have no complaints- I'm only rating it 4 stars because the taste disappears quickly and the texture is pretty hard to chew. Aside from that, this really is awesome gum. Kudos to Dubble Bubble for making a healthier alternative to their regular product!

My favorite gum!

My husband ordered this because he loves bubble gum but is diabetic. He said the gum was good and taste like he remembers it, but the box was supposed to contain 12 bags of gum. Unfortunately, they only sent 10 bags and substituted 2 bags of full sugar Tootsie Fruit Chews. This jacked up the price of the gum because he received 2 bags of stuff he can’t eat.

I bought this because my mother LOVES Dubble Bubble, but can't chew it because she has diabetes. Sugar Free Dubble Bubble is the best solution for her and can't live with out! I had to buy this many so she can feel good that she won't run out any time soon. I am not diabetic, but I love this gum as well! So if you like Dubble Bubble, Sugar Free won't let you down, at all! The ONLY downfall is of course it loses taste pretty fast and it get pretty difficult to chew the longer you chew it. I like that texture so it's not a big deal. Enjoy!
