I didn't really need this many nutmeg nuts, but oh, the delicious, fresh fragrance upon opening the bag had me taking many deep inhalations!! They are so fresh, nice size and grate up so nicely! I'm very happy with this purchase! You want fresh nutmeg? Can’t go wrong with these gems!! I would purchase again if needed, but with this large bag that's gonna be a looonnggg while!!

This nutmeg is absolutely incredible! It is so fresh, and so fragrant, that you will want to just keep inhaling, and maybe lick it. It will work well with a nutmeg grater (you know, the kind where if you're not careful you'll end up grating your finger tips or knuckle), but beware: it is so fresh that it is not dry enough to work in a grinder (such as the ones where you put the nutmeg in the bottom, twist the top on, and then turn a crank handle - you may also call these a nutmeg mill). Regardless, it won't work well - you will need to set the nutmeg out and let it air dry for..well...weeks (at least in our case) before it will work in one of those devices. But you can always inhale it's heady scent as you walk by, while waiting for it to dry out enough. Or pick up a grater - but watch those fingers!

This nutmeg is excellent and fresh. I use it for making my own chai. I ground it coarsely with a mortar and pestle and it is much better than regular ground nutmeg powder. It smells great and adds a nice flavor to the chai.

It is a good price, and has a good taste. It is convenient to find on line. Grocery stores in my area are hit and miss for whole nutmeg.

It's fresh, whole and you can see nothing is added. I have started grinding my own spices when I learned that the spices you buy have added ingredients not mentioned on the label. For example, adding lead chromate makes the cinnamon redder.

This package of very wonderfully pungent and perfect Nutmeg Seeds are a great addition to my spices, rather than store-bought nutmeg powder which has lost a lot of its punch. Packaged to preserve freshness, and great sized seeds, these will get a lot of use in my culinary activities. They grind well, and the taste is fantastic. I add these to many creations, even mashed potatoes, pureed carrots, oatmeal and much more for sauces and soups. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and will definitely buy again when these have been fully used. I am a nutmeg fiend, and pre-ground nutmeg is just not good enough for my tastes! I had been buying whole organic nutmeg from Wegmans for a few years, and when I ran out lately I decided to see if there were better prices with good ratings on trusty Amazon. I gambled on trying this nutmeg, and got it in a few weeks ago. I just opened the bag today, and all of the nutmeg were nice and fresh looking with sublime scent even unground. I grated one up, and it wow the scent was concentrated pure nutmeg goodness that the Wegmans nutmeg never gave to me! And the taste was amazing, I have been spoiled.
