Downy Unstopable Laundry Scent Booster Beads for Washer, Lush, 20.1 oz

i’ve used these Downey unstoppable in wash and booster beads for years and they are my pride and true for how well they work, and the fresh smell they leave my clothes with. The bottle is really durable and the product quality is very high. You just throw them in the wash with your clothes and let the washing machine do the rest. The only thing I’ve noticed and would note is that I preferred to put the sun beads in the washer first and then the clothes on top because if the wash is too full the beads don’t always dissolve all the way, and I have to run a quick other cycle. I use these most often for my bedding and for my workout clothes and both smell brand new after every wash. They are absolutely wonderful for my dogs’ beds, too!

I’ve tried a lot of laundry products over the years, but these Downy Unstopables Fresh Scent beads honestly stand out. The smell they give my clothes is incredible — clean, bright, and long‑lasting without being overpowering. After the first wash, I noticed the scent immediately, and it stayed on my shirts, towels, and even work clothes for days. What I really like is how the fragrance holds up through the dryer. Most products fade out, but this one keeps that fresh, just‑washed smell long after everything is folded and put away. It makes opening the closet or grabbing a towel feel like I just did laundry. If you want your clothes to smell amazing and stay that way, this is one of the best scent boosters you can use. I’ll definitely keep buying it.

Downy Unstopables are absolutely fantastic. These scent booster beads add an incredible, long-lasting freshness to laundry that regular detergent alone cannot achieve. Clothes come out smelling clean, fresh, and pleasantly fragrant for days.

BOTTOM LINE: This is hand’s down the best laundry product that you didn’t even know you should be using — and believe me, you should be using it. If you have to use non-scented detergents like my family, it’s an absolute necessity. Important Information: My entire family has sensitive skin but my sons’ sensitivies are severe enough that I can only use free&clear detergents so my review is based on my experience with a laundry detergent that offers literally no scent. PROS: - Safe for ALL skin types, including extremely sensitive skin and/or eczema - Ridiculously easy to use, pour beads into cap and cap into washer - Safe for any material you can put in your washer - Scent control by adding more or less beads to each load - Scent is fresh but not overwhelming to the senses - Freshens the entire laundry room as a side perk - Fresh smelling for up to 6 weeks (I can verify 3 weeks and counting so far from personal experience) CONS: - Honestly, there really aren’t any...it can seem expensive but it’s not for what it gives you, especially if you can’t use scented detergents - If you are sensitive to smells like I am, just choose a scent you are familiar with and can handle and start adding more and more beads to test tolerance with each load So, to my actual experience with this god send. It’s great that I know no one is being exposed to any excess chemicals but these detergents — and if you use them you absolutely know what I’m talking about — do NOT leave your clothes smelling “fresh out of the washer”. This is a huge problem for anyone with toddlers in the house, a teenage boy, and a husband — oh and a dog (I know). I have tried adding (and not exaggerating) up to 10 dryer Sheets at a time to even get a whiff of a fresh scent but it always faded immediately. I tried spraying the clean clothes with Fabric Refresher before and after the dryer but this also faded and smelled forced. I don’t have time to research essentials oils and what nots with 2 kids and, quite frankly, it shouldn’t be that difficult to get good smelling laundry. If all of that wasn’t enough, I have chronic migraines and I have to be exceptionally careful with scents because too much of even a good one can lead to a very bad day for me. So, I saw ads and promos for this type of thing before but honestly didn’t think that it could work or would work, was worried about whether it would irritate my kids’ skin, and if it was safe for everything or if I was gonna have to add another task to my pre-laundry summit, and finally if I was going to be playing Russian Roulette loaded with migraines. However, after one particularly horrifying potty training mishap, I was so frustrated By the fact I couldn’t get my son’s blanket smelling clean, I broke down and bought it. BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. After getting it, I was super excited to try it (see Pros above). The first time I tried it, I used half of a cap full because I wanted to check how strong the scent was (and I knew I was gonna wash that bedding a second time anyway). After the washer cycle was done, my entire laundry room smelled amazing and so did the blanket. It smelled fresh and clean and it wasn’t an overwhelming scent. I got nervous about how it would last after the dryer but the smell held and it continued to last throughout the entire week. I’ve used it in every single load since and it’s amazing the difference — I don’t dread laundry, I don’t worry that clean clothes don’t smell clean, and the scents last for weeks (found that out after washing winter blankets to prep for the upcoming season - 3 weeks in storage tub and counting) with added bonus of an awesome smelling laundry room to boot. I’ve used it on towels, dress shirts, bedding, jackets, and t shirts ofnjust about every machine washable material I can conceive of and it does not cause any damage what so ever. This product is awesome and I’m so happy I finally tried it. It’s worth the money and if you are as frustrated as I was, it cannot hurt to try and i sincerely recommend that you do.

I purchased these scent boosters to make my laundry smell fresh for longer, especially towels and bedding. From the first wash, I noticed a clean and pleasant fragrance that lasts even after the clothes have been stored for days. I like that I can control the intensity by adjusting the amount I use. It dissolves well in the wash and doesn’t leave any residue on fabrics. The scent is strong, so a little goes a long way, especially if you prefer lighter fragrances. Overall, it performs exactly as expected and I would repurchase it.

Great smell and you can use for carpet freshness as well. Easily dissolves in washer and no scrubbing needed. They make clothes comfortable no starchy feel to them. Great add to laundry day essentials.

This is my go to scent from downey. Love the way my laundry smells. Cant do laundry with out it now . Long lasting scent, bottle ladt me quite a long time. Easy to use toss in . Great value for the price. Excellent product

It's like it was made for giants. I feel tiny using it. It should last a nice while.

I understand people who doesn't like using softeners, but honestly for bedding sheets and fabric like wool. It does make a big difference.
