Amazon prime reviewer, not an Amazon prime item. I’ve had dentures for 6 years. I went the route of healing dentures for 7months then permanent dentures (anyone with dentures should know there will still be bone loss and settling with the original fit permanent dentures and I did all of my own soft realigning). So my current dentures are about 5.5 years old and within the last month I had them hard realigned. A fresh perfect fit. I still wanted some adhesion, preferring paper adhesive over fixadent goop. I hate the goop and gag so easily that i occasionally throw up putting them in before work. Today happens to be thanksgiving. I used the product for the first time today for thanksgiving. Put them in about 1hr before eating. They stayed tight and in place through the meal and 3 hours after putting them in and eating the tops are 100% secure and bottoms are mostly still secure. I COULD rip the lower one out with some ease, but I feel they’re in tight enough that I should get a good 5hrs of use out of them yet as long as I don’t eat anything that’d require too much chewing. This is perfect in my opinion. I’ll use this before work and they should be loosened up enough to easily take them out after work. I liken it to what I imagine women feel like finally getting to take their bra off after a long day or taking your shoes off after a long day. It’s a relief to remove them and have air hit the roof of my mouth, letting my gums “breathe”. I will be back to update what removal was like and what I needed to do to remove any goop the product left behind. I HATED the work I had to do to remove fixadent. HATE the time it took to brush everything away with mouthwash and then clean the brush. Just time consuming, gross, and for me, full of gagging. Forgot to update removal, so I am back to do so on 12/01/25. Removal after 8 hours of wear: the bottom was pretty easy, though the adhesive was still holding on. For my upper: I had to pry it out. Zero regrets on this purchase with full intent of purchasing more when I need it.

If you use the pink fixodent gel this maximizes the adhesive capability. A few yrs back they removed zink from their gel. This is a zink powder. It works great along with their gel. I would say this combo works better than their original gel with zink.

Hate any paste! The powder seems to hold but yes for a secure fit ( powder alone ) you need to reapply throughout the day. I did try one hack that improved stability. 1. Dentures dry, add powder and shake excess off. 2. Lightly saturate dentures with water and reapply powder. 3. Shake off excess and then place in mouth. Good luck this journey to finding what works is a long road but the hack improves hold by 30%.. I am still using it and will. The only downside is shake the excess powder onto a tissue. If you do it in the sink it leaves a gluey residue to clean up.
