Versatile, comfortable, and tough.
This is a brilliant pen design! It will accept almost any ballpoint or rollerball refill. Unlike a lot of pens that adjust for different refills, this one keeps the point rigidly in place with no play. It also does not require any spacers, different springs, or swapping of parts. Installing different refills is quick and simple.Even without the refill options this would be an excellent pen. It is comfortable to hold and offers a secure grip. The weight is moderate and the balance is fairly neutral, although that does depend a bit on the refill you use. The screw-on cap also posts on the end with a couple of twists. The pen is all made of titanium, even the clip. That means it is very tough, but not overly heavy. The black version has a vapor-deposited DLC coating, which is an expensive option with most other pens. The coating gives is a nice glossy look and also hardens the surface to protect against scratches. It might scratch your keys, but they won't scratch it. (Note that the other two finishes are not surface hardened and will pick up scratches.)The Ti Arto EDC has a sophisticated industrial look that would not be out of place in a business meeting or on a drafting table. If you could only own one pen this would be the one.

Super Nice
This is pen number two from Big Idea Design. Number one, in raw Ti, is 3 years old and going strong. I just thought it would be nice to have another in black. I get plenty of “nice pen” complements at work but, being perfectly honest, I just enjoy using a quality pen. It’s a big price tag for a pen, in my opinion, but I do not mind paying for quality as long as I feel that I’m getting my money’s worth. For me, it’s worth a 100 bucks to enjoy unscrewing the cap of a world-class pen and signing documents, which I do all day long. Not sure which I prefer more, black or plain titanium. Both are classy and well made.

Like it more than I thought I would
It's expensive. But it is easy to hold, comfortable, and accepts just an insane number of refills. (I'm partial to the Montblanc rollerball ones.) As another review mentioned, the one con is the rubber seal on the barrel of the pen. It slides/rolls out of the shallow groove it's supposed to sit in. Hoping I don't lose it (yes, it comes with a spare).

Not really EDC
First, besides having a titanium body, not exactly sure how this pen qualifies as EDC (tactical) pen.Considering the amount of cartridge replacement, it is almost worth the price as a refillable, durable pen.One of the greatest design flaws is the rubber grommets. They are only slight indented. And if the pen is placed in any holder, unseated, and tend to fall off as a result.Spares are included. But it became problematic as a carry pen due to that factor, and is now a desk pen.A much better grommet design would have been solely inside the cap, or a deeper seated flat band.

Its build, flexibility, aesthetic, and function has made it become the "nice" pen I actually use.
I've recently gotten into the void of pen, ink and stationery. And in the process have bought several more expensive pens and a whole variety of ink in order to find out what my favorite would be.Turns out the pen I like the most is the pen that was able to accept all the different type of refills I threw at it - even though I've finally settled on just one ink and no longer switch around. While I think I may have ended up liking the steel more, the black has a perfectly nice finish and the weight and grip is just right as the tool that gets out of the way when you use it but feels just right when you take time to measure it.I didn't expect what I thought would be the utility pen to become the main I use to write the most. Overall, would recommend.

Good pen
This is a great light weight pen. It’s built well and the screw mechanism that holds the pen refill is smooth. However, my pocket clip came slightly bent and off center, not a dealbreaker but something I expect a $90 pen to not have. Another thing to be aware of is that the refill can move slightly inside and cause a rattle when writing. I thought about using a small oring on the refill to keep the rattle sound down. The thing that attracted me to this pen is the amazing number of refills I can use. I have tried around 20 and haven't had an issue with one yet.

Versatility
It's a little expensive. But it's certainly a fantastic last pen to purchase. I put a Monte Blanc cartridge in mine and now I have a MB pen without the MB price. Would recommend.

Amazing pen, buy this for sure.
The heft and the feel of these pens are amazing. I've ordered all 3 in this set and love them. I'm using various Mont Blanc refills and love the flexibility. They have a great industrial feel and the design is pretty amazing. My one small critique is that each of them came with roughly 1/64" slop/gap in the pen clip that is super annoying for me. The differences were such that I could tell it was just tollerances off in manufacturing, not design-specific gaps for breathing or flex. The clips would shift side to side and in and out slightly and when I'd hold or fidget with the pen in meetings the little lack of tightness bothered me. But a quick fix for this was to put a super small amount of JB Weld in the 1/64" gap to close the gap and keep the clip tight. It worked perfectly and looks great.Buy these pens, you won't regret it.

Very nice pen!
Bought the stonewashed and the black. Both very nice and works well with a few refills that I tried. The supplied Schneider Gelion 39 Black catridge is excellent and is now my favorite gel ink.
