I learned a great deal about diet and kidney disease.
I recommend this book for anyone with kidney disease. For those who have problems like me, though it is not as helpful as I had hoped. I have allergies to wheat, corn, soy, nuts, and peanut. Making the diet work will be a challenge for those like me, but I will use the information from this book to help with a healthy renal diet.

high sodium product listed
Not impressed with recommendations of recipes and / or the product recommendations for ingredients to be used. Still reviewing book, but so far would not pay the price.

Great reference for avoiding dialysis through diet
Well-researched guide based on at least 50 CKD patients. The information is extremely helpful for creating a diet to avoid dialysis, especially concerning the different types of foods/nutriments that are important to keep an eye on.

Not professional or helpful
The author has a chatty style that makes no sense. Quote “ …look at the meat section and pick your meal.” Or the Chef “…thinks it’s such a creative way to live when he went through the produce section .” What does that even mean? The book has QR codes instead of information. Really a waste of time and money. Statements have no citations even though there is a Reference List in the back of the book. I hope I can return it.
