Pellets are good but company SUCKS in their delivery promises
I was skeptical when I first purchased these but was proven 100% wrong on my skepticism. These pellets are very very good to get a very very good smoke on your meat and not overpowering but just as good as a stick pit guaranteed! I am a real customer I'm not somebody that is putting on a fake review I promise! It is worth the extra money to get what you want. The burn is consistent and the smoke is incredible when you have your pellet grill set to smoke! Usually between 185 and 200°. Improvides good heat when you kick it up to 275 or 350 for the finish off! I recommend these pillows 100%. I don't usually write very many reviews but I had to write this one! For all you pellet smokers out there who wish you can make a brisket like they do in the stick pits competition style these are your pellets! What have you got to lose what I like is I have a money-back guarantee. After your first cook you'll be sold too!

Amazing rich flavor with a slow burn
Although Smokin Pecan pellets are far from the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Not only does they burn hotter and longer than any traditional pellet, being 100% pecan shell, they burn clean and give a robust, deep smoky flavor. Some will say that you can never replicate the flavor of an offset smoker on a pellet grill, but Smokin Pecan is here to prove that theory wrong. I will make sure to always have a box of this on hand.

Good but...
So I purchased these after having seen them recommended in many videos. The claims I heard in the videos is that these burn hotter, last longer, and impart good smoke. So 1) they do seem to burn well, little ash, 2) My experience was they do not seem to burn longer than other pellets, 3) they did impart a nice smokey flavor. So two out of three isn't too bad except when you consider the price. If you are looking for the "Pecan" flavor, these are probably worthwhile to try. If you are using as what I'll call a generic pellet for fuel, I'd go with something else.

No smoke and mirrors
While these pellets are fairly expensive as the hearing source for cooking, I found satisfactory results by using these pellets as a supplementary source in a smoke tube placed in my pellet grill.

Sweet, smooth, toasted Marshmello smell and flavor
How did I ever live without this stuff? Use it straight or blend it. It has a sweet, soft, toasted Marshmello like smell and flavor. I can't get enough of it. I find it works with most things. If you're going for a very dark smokey flavor try blending it with some mesquite or hickory. It's more expensive than regular hardwood pellets, but it's worth the money.

Jury is out
I bought these based on reviews of other folks that use and really like them. I used them for the first time yesterday in my Recteq 1250, smoked four racks of St Louis cut spare ribs. First impression, out of the box, they are much shorter and more precise sized than either Bear Mountain or particularly Kirkland/Pit Boss Blend that I’ve used for years. Thera are no pellets longer than 1/2”. No 2” monster pellets. That should please a lot of people that complain about those brands that they say cause auger jams. They are super dark in color and seem dryer tan any pellet I’ve used previously (20 years). Whether that’s good or bad, I can’t say. They have a “different” smell when burning for sure than say a good hardwood blend. But in the final product, the ribs had a nice smoke ring and a decent smoke flavor. FYI I smoked the ribs at 180° for an hour then up to 250° for two hours before wrapping them in foil, so they only got three hours of smoke which isn’t a great test. I’ll reserve judgement until I smoke either a pork butt or a brisket where they will get 8-12 hours of direct smoke. That will be the true test. I can say they burned well without any appreciable temp spikes or dips. I won’t be able to assess ash accumulation until I clean the grill in a week or two, after I’ve burned the two boxes I purchased (40 lbs). As far as burning and smoke production I’d say they are ok. As I said, I’ll know more after a few more smokes. Now, for the bad… they are very expensive! At $64 plus tax for 40 pounds, these likely will not be my everyday, go-to pellets. Not when I can purchase 40 pounds of Kirkland brand for $13 and tax. They’d have to really WOW me in order to justify their nearly 5x higher cost. I’d be willing to pay 2x maybe but not 5x.
