OGIO Rig 9800 Wheeled Suitcase (Gear Bag, Checked Luggage)

I am flying to Rythmia and Acid Wave was the most fitting colorway a Rythmia guest could possibly find. It was so perfect to find this bag and this color that it felt as if God showed it to me in the search results as a sign of faith. Another reviewer showed a picture and said she was torn between this color and the red one. Again, another mystical intervention because I was going back and forth between the same two colors. She said she was happy she ended up choosing this color, and that was the last thing I needed to know to go ahead and purchase this bag. The Rythmia experience is exactly one week, so this bag is the perfect size to bring enough clothes for a full week without having to worry about space. I bet that fully loaded, you could use this bag for a two-week trip. For a week, I need a daily change of underwear, 3 t-shirts, 3 pants, a hoodie, a sweater, 2 swimsuits, 2 pairs of shoes plus the ones I will be wearing, 2 pajama sets (could be two shorts and two clean, soft t-shirts), and then something else I might be forgetting now. But this bag has enough room for all I need. Plus, besides the coolest color ever released on a traveling bag, the other big selling point was the wheels. These wheels are no joke. They are the very best, toughest, thickest, widest, strongest luggage wheels I have ever seen. And attached to that 'SLED' frame (as they call it) with that indestructible metal triangle-structured piece of heavy-duty gear, you should have no fear to roll this bag over any bus terminal, train station, or airport in the world. Those wheels alone are probably the most expensive piece this bag is made with. The retractable handle is top-notch, made with a nice rubberized coating (not just cheap plastic). The 3D OGIO logo on the front is well made and adds a really nice touch, and the black logos on the sides look amazing in person. All five handles around the bag are fantastic, especially the hard plastic one at the bottom of the bag, on the edge of the SLED frame. It makes lifting this bag a breeze. Very clever design. You can tell that the OGIO folks spent years listening to their customers and giving them what they want. They certainly did an excellent job with this one, which I bet is their best product ever or at least one of their top three. I cannot recommend the Acid Wave OGIO bag enough. It has this nice Back to the Future Part II vibe to it, with Marty McFly's hat and hoverboard flair. And with this super unique color, your bag will be the easiest to spot at the airport's luggage pickup area.

Great, sturdy dive bag. We loved it's easy openings with strong zippers and enough pockets for what you need. Liked the sleigh style backing which made me feel my gear was safe and protected from hardy luggage handlers. The bright patter made it easy to locate on the luggage retrieval belt too, among all the boring black bags. The inner section dividers were a bit useless, and it's a heavy bag, but we're happy with it - we packed gear for 2 divers for a dive trip recently, and it came to a total for 24 kilos -just over the weight limit. I guess it's meant for one person to use, but because it's so roomy, we decided to share. We got away with it :)

Great bag! Huge storage capacity, love the color and design, easy to transport around and lift, wish there weee little more organizational options but still not bad, so far gave great protection through events and airport visits, durable so far as well.

This is my third ogio rig 9800 in a decade, still have and use the first one. Incredible well designed, it moves and slides easily with just two fingers in the handler, really tuff, I travel a lot with those full to the top, airport staff is not easy with the luggage, but this is designed to deal with it, has a lot of reinforced parts, big ball bearings in the wheels, heavy duty zippers and inside structure to keep it in the same shape for years. Only con that I can think is the weight, it is quite heavy which leaves less stuff to carry if you use airplane as transportation.

Bought these bags for holding our snowmobile gear for a trip to Yellowstone. Bag has a fold up, padded flap at the top to securely hold a helmet, keeping it protected from the boots, jackets, pants and TekVest on the other side. SUPER easy to roll and “sled” shell on the bottom actually glides up on heavy snow to allow easy transport in and out of a snowy cabin (or protects it very well from muddy/dirty drives and parking lots). Fit all our gear including boots and even had room for base layers. Handles on the front of the bags were terrific for ease of loading into the vehicles when we had a crew. Think our friends even ended up buying them after they saw ours! Very durable and would recommend for heavy duty use as well.

Little expensive but quality is worth the price! Yes there are cheaper options but that’s just it, they are cheap. If you want a quality bag, then pony up big boy because this one’s worth it! So much room and separate compartments. You won’t be disappointed.

Best suitcase I’ve ever owned. It’s a beast. It’s rugged, the wheels are great. The two straps on top make it easy to load and unload. I love this thing!! I’m going to get my wife one in a different color.
