rien a dire

didn't recognise an existing formatted hdd
Arrived promptly and well packed but it would not recognise an already formatted hdd stating it must be initialised. That hdd was then verified good, recognised and read/written to on same PC/operating system (Windows 7) using a barebones no-caddy adaptor and without deleting all its data, without initialising, without formatting. Offhand I can't recall the existing formatting of the hdd but it was either FAT32, XFAT or NTFS so should have been recognised with no problems. Later bought a cheap no-name caddy which did work as expected, just like the barebones no-caddy adaptor.
