So I was literally going to buy a new dishwasher because I thought there was just something wrong with the one I had. Granted we bought one that was the cheapest one you could possibly get so after a few years of use I thought it was just giving up the ghost. My friend told me however that I need to switch from just the cheap store brand liquid detergent to Cascade with bleach pods and importantly to make sure I always have a full rinse agent dispenser. Well I went and tried it I got the smallest package of the Cascade with the Bleach pods and some rinse agent and lo and behold my dishes came out as if my brand my dishwasher was brand spanking new, top of the line Honky Tonk dishwasher. I am sold! I cannot find these in the grocery store anymore so now I order through amazon. I hope they never stop making these

Cascade Platinum Plus is the brand recommended by my KitchenAid dishwasher’s manual. I much prefer the pods to powder, as they’re so much easier to pop in. Every once in awhile you might get a damaged pod, but for the most part they usually arrive intact. I never have any plastic-y or powdery residue leftover in the dishwasher, so they’re easily dissolved (although I do wash on high heat). Don’t touch them with wet fingers - I like to load a pod before putting dirty dishes in, so I already have dry hands. I use these with Cascade Platinum rinse.
