I've found a good base cable tie underneath and then you have the releasable aspect which works brilliantly and seems to be executed very well. I use them for bundles of wires that sometimes need to be undone on occasion to add/subtract some. To be fair I will use them for nearly everything. It's rare I use cable ties and don't want the option of undoing them at a later date.Why bother some may ask, why not snip an old one off and use a new one? Awkward snipping old ones off close to thin wires. Have to carry snips and spare cable ties everywhere and when you forget it's a pain.Waste of plastic, wasting time looking for a bin.Just seems a poor idea to treat them as disposable when re-using is easier and more convenient.

Personally I bought these to tie together garden tools in our imminent house move. However, they could be used for a wide range of uses around the house, or for BDSM sex games if you like that. Not very good for restraining criminals because these straps are easy to release, but if their hands are behind their back it would be OK.
