ASICS Men's Matflex 7Sneaker

Was recommend ASICS by one of my coaches who also has quite wide feet and said that wrestling boots tend to fit much better and have better grip. While I had to go up to a men’s 9 when I am usually a women’s 7 (UK), they do fit me very week and they are very lightweight. Totally reccomend.

My instructor advised that I get a size up from 9s to 10s. I couldn't get these in the UK as they were only showing 8s and 11s. Arrived in good condition and they are comfortable. My instructor commented they were a little on the expensive side.

I've never given a review before but having lost over £27 on postage (quicker delivery to me + returning them!) a warning to others about the sizing was needed. Having read other reviews I ordered a half size up, however when I opened the box I could see straight away they were not going to fit but I tried them on out of desperation anyway! without the laces done up and they were painfully tight. So basically unless you have the feet of a ballerina walk away because the advertised width of M is wrong, I've got some ASICS trainers I brought a few years ago and they're a good fit so I don't know why these should be so different but they just are.

I had to come back and edit my previous review. I have had these shoes for 2 years now and am still training in these shoes. I have wrestled and simultaneously used for boxing and weightlifting (training in these 5-6 days a week). These far exceeded my expectations in quality. I will buy another pair when my current ones finally wear out. I wear a size 12 shoe and ordered a 12 but had to size up to a 13. Expect these shoes to fit tight width wise, but they do stretch out a bit.

These are great. I bought these a year ago and I wore them to death. Originally, I wanted these to be able to drive my vette and there is very little room at the pedals. I ended up wearing them every day. A year later they are fully intact and still very wearable. They still look good after a full year. They really held up. I sized up one size for a perfect and not too snug fit as wrestling shoes typically are. So size up if your not wrestling with them. I will be buying another pair.
