Distorted electrical mounting
The unit looked well made but on inspection the board on which all of the electrical components were mounted was badly distorted and was touching the heat sink. I returned before installation.

Works really well
The media could not be loaded. After using pwm controllers for ages because of the price of Mppt . I see this and opted to buy it. Wow what a difference. I have a 50w solar panel connected to this and as you can see in the photos it still produces power when cloudy but when the sun is out it draws more than 50 watts from the solar panel . So now I have ordered another one to try it on a 100w solar panel. Im a bit mad so I have two set ups one for the led lights in the shed, also connected to an inverter to charge my cordless batterys and one for the garden to supply garden lights and a 12v water fountain.

Locks up and loses settings.
When used with 2 panels the controller locks up. The settings are lost when the battery is disconnected. Changing the settings doesn't appear to work, i.e. max charge voltage set to 14v it still drives up to 14.5v. Manual confusing pigeon English. It's reading of the battery and solar voltage is inaccurate. I didn't check current or wattage readings but suspect similar misreadings. Cheap mppt but I'm not trusting this in my motorhome!

Works very well, recommended workewd straight out of the box
I needed a new solar regulator for my camper van after my current (blue) regulator decided to put the full solar panel output across the batter and killed my fridge..Look for an MPPT version, I saw this item but was nervous as no reviews.... but was cheaper and had a display.Installed OK, worked straight out of the box no problemsVery informative display. will recommend

We are just starting our allotment solar project and this looks perfect for it.
We have an allotment with a medium sized shed that we want to solarise before Autumn. The idea being we can have some 12 volt lighting for the evenings we spend down there but also run a couple of 12 volt plug in fans, the type you stick or clamp to your cars dash or use in the caravan/camper for when it gets really hot in the shed and you are potting up.So we are novices concerning the solar project and are just picking up the bits and pieces as we go along We have a tight budget and are trying to be strict and stick to it.This Y&H control unit looks perfect for us, it seems simple to install, and is robust enough for the environment it will be operating in and has the ability to cope with the size and output of the panel/panels we intend to use on the shed roof. The unit itself looks well made, the back of it is thick aluminium which I believe doubles up as a heat sink to dissipate excess power into. All of the cable mounting points look super strong, the case at the top of the charger is vented for more efficient cooling and overall the construction of the charger looks excellent.I am giving this a 5 star rating based on the build quality, and overall great impression we get from it. I will return to update this review when our project is completed and working.

Good price performance purchase
MPPT is always high in price compared to PWM but this one is within my budget therefore I gave it a try. This is being used in my terrace where no easy reach of electricity. A 50W solar panel is connected to it, I mainly use it to light up the string light I had in the terrace and to support a 12V USB latern. The setup is quite simple and easy than I expected. It works well so far in the summer, I will come back to upate it on performance in winter time. The build quality is very good and sturdy, the reading on the screen is bold is sharp, make it very easy to read even in the dark. The price is £45.99 at the time of review, I find it a very good price performance buy.
