Q: Does this model have a night light/light?

No but, there is a green light for the water cooler that is in the front.

Q: Why does it have a chemical metallic taste? Do I have to clean the reservoir every month or when we are away for a few days?

I have owned this product for several months now and am totally satisfied and greatly enjoy the water passing though the machine. I have had to eperience with any foreign tastes...thus am unable to satisfy your question.

Q: How much water is left in jug when the dispenser says that it's empty?

Maybe about an inch worth. YOu can take the bottle out and dump it in a container. I use it for the cat's water. I love this unit.
