The beam pro is a basic android device with the glasses software app. It also enables app download from playstore. The camera system is a spatial camera but can also be used as a normal camera. There are not many glasses specific apps yet, I can see myself using my phone more than this rather than carry 2 around with me.

Doubted this product based on the mixed reviews, but took a chance as current setup was a Chromecast. It’s been amazing so far, I’m purely using for streaming like Netflix and prime and it ticks all my boxes. Simple to use once you have played around, adjusting screen size and anchoring work well, but I don’t move around when using. I have iPhone 12, but have used glasses with iPad before, glasses work far better with beam pro due to belowAnchoringSmooth followUI control with pointer or simple swipes (not trying to navigate iPad with glasses on).

For that price a good camera! Not the best for near, or macro, you need to be at least 2 meters distance, but for the rest a good buy, the battery goes quick down, so you will need a power pack, but for the rest its a good buy!

What is the point of this?I tried this along side with my samsung phone.. i get better brightness, no sure why, i tried GeForce Now, with my Samsung i get full 60 fps, with this i get 16 fps.It is even worse then the original Beam since you cant use it to connect with game consoles.So what exactly is the point of this useless device when everyone already has a phone that can do almost everything this average device does.The only thing that it does that is remotely useful is the anchor and slow follow.. and that is when it work, whcih is 7 times out of 10.Save yourself some money and sanity and do NOT buy this!!!

I'm connecting this to a steam deck to use with the XReal Air 2 AR glasses and whilst it works great, the cable isn't very flexible and I feel like it puts stress around the connection when it bends. For the price I wish it was a bit more flexible whilst being as being as durable as it is.

I have the Xreal Air 1, but even if I didn't I would buy this just for the spatial camera aspect of it. What I would love is a trimmed down smaller version that is just a dedicated camera, so that way I don't need to carry essentially 2 phones but for the price this is madness. You get a surprisingly nice phone, alone with all the AR functionality with the glasses and then, best of all, a really nice camera!I have been absolutely wowwing myself and my family/friends with the camera, it really captures memories in a more more "real" way, not sure how else to describe it. I hear they are releasing a sim card option soon, even though I have a great phone I will probably switch to this purely because I don't want to be without a spatial camera in my pocket! Awesome work, Xreal!!!
