NOT FOR YOUR MOTHERBOARD
reserving the right to modify if product turns out to be defective. However, I felt it necessary after reading all the "it will burn up your pc" reviews, to point something out. Those who say they had shorting issues with this plug also talk as if they plugged it into their motherboard. That would be incredibly stupid as the product is designed to adapt the output of an RGB *HUB* controller to 3 pin aRGB. This adapter should never come anywhere near your motherboard. It plugs into a controller. It's for folks (like me) who have cheap Chinese RGB fans in their rigs along with standard aRGB stuff, so we can plug the standard stuff into the cheap Chinese controller. For that purpose I'm guessing this adapter is a godsend and will allow me to unify my rgb. I'll update if incorrect.

adapter review
it works okay. so i have 4 corsair 120af mm fans and three nzxt fans in the front from my flow 7. so when i used the converter in the three it didn’t work at first, what i did was when i went into icue and ran the wizard for ports 1-6, i had moved one of my corsair fans to port 5 on the icue commander then plugged the extender into port one and they all work, takes a little to mess with but ended up getting it to work.

Completely useless
I should have listened to the other reviews. The 4-pin connector just pops off with even the slightest movement of the cable itself or the computer. It popped off after I bumped the table. Completely useless. Save yourself some headache, stay FAR away from this.

FAULTY
First problem was that there was plastic stuck to one of the ports that I had to peal back to even be able to plug it in, secondly once I did plug it in I got a bright flash of color then when I proceeded to gently plug it all the way in and all I got was a very dim light, so I kept retrying and it only got worse, I'm convinced it fried the cord for my gpu stand because it won't work anymore it at all I got this to fix the issue but it only made things worse. Don't buy.
