Only 2 batteries
The OIKSPY Digital Camera 4K FHD Camera 3" 64MP Point and Shoot Digital Camera is a nice camera. It is light weight and takes very good pictures. Using the camera is like any other similar camera. Use could be challenging for young children with the extensive buttons and menus. This is a great backup for your phone camera. My major problem with it is the availability of getting new batteries. At this point, there are absolutely NO (BL-01) batteries listed on Amazon! This is a problem if your batteries go bad or you lose one or more of the two included in the package. All the great features of the camera become moot! I have had point and shoot camera batteries go bad. Fortunately, I still can find batteries for these older cameras. This is why the lower rating. I cannot recommend this camera until extra batteries are available. If they do, the rating goes up. Otherwise, a very good camera at a decent price.

Below-average pictures, painful 9 second startup time
It's slow overall, but having to wait 9 seconds from the first click of the power button before it is ready to start taking pictures is really bad. Similar cameras are often 2-3 seconds, and rarely more than 5. I don't know why this one is so slow. Baffling. Focusing is also slower than average. It has a good 8mp sensor (the IMX179 sensor mentioned, most cameras don't tell you), which is as good as generic cameras get no matter what the maximum enlargement is. But the pictures are not good. They are the worst I have seen from a 8MP camera. The camera disfigures them with excessive sharpness, contrast, and compression. There are not settings to disable this, other than a quality setting which makes very little difference. The pictures would be better if the camera didn't apply this junk. You can see ugly sharpening and compression artifacts, and there are a lot of very dark areas even within the same picture with washed out bright areas. You might also notice the file size, even at "high" quality setting, is significantly smaller than the same picture taken with a different camera. Even compared to other generics, this one compresses images about 30% more... WHY? Storage memory is dirt cheap these days. You can fit thousands of pictures on the included card. Why ruin the pictures to make them a little smaller? But then stretch the 8mp image to an absurd 64mp? When reviewing your pictures in playback mode, you can't zoom in to make sure they are focused well. Most cameras use either the zoom buttons or the center d-pad button to zoom in on images, but this one will only display a chunky shrunken preview image. Like all other generic autofocus cameras, this one will lock the focus in with the half-press of the shutter button, but the brightness adjustment continues to change. So you can't do things like lock the exposure level on one part of the scene and then move the framing slightly. The bottom line is, all of these things are bad. This one is extremely slow and produces sub-par pictures, even for its class. It's sad that this camera has a decent sensor and a fairly solid physical build, ruined by terrible excessive internal processing. The one good(ish) thing about this model is the LED "flash" is faster and more even. However, it's still a mere LED, not a proper gas discharge flash, so it's too weak to be very useful. And given how bad the pictures are, you may as well live with a slightly noisy boosted ISO mode in a different camera.

Decent for a child but photo quality is not good

Decent Camera
This compact camera is lightweight and easy to use. I've only reviewed my video and pictures through the camera so far; I haven't taken out the card to check them on a larger screen. I'll say, through the camera, the pictures don't seem very clear, but I'm hoping that when I check them later, they will be better. It's a good first camera for kids or someone just getting into photography. The settings are easy to toggle through and understand. Everything that comes with it is explained in the manual. I have to play around with it, but I like it. The price isn't too bad either.
