These are really cool pens. My kids both like to journal and it is perfect for journaling at night and not keeping their roommates up in college.

I wanted a pen with a light so I could make note of things that cross my mind at night. (If I turn on a light I end up being up for at least an hour, instead of sleeping.) This light pen works exactly as I'd hoped. If I wake and need to write down something I grab my planner, click the pen light on, jot down my thought, put my journal and pen down, and settle back into the bed for sleep. The package includes four light pens, six extra ink cartridges, three batteries, and a user guide. I was also gifted an extra pen light, for the total of five pens. The pen is ballpoint, has a bit of weight, the body is large enough to comfortably hold in the hand, and the pen glides smoothly when writing, nice ink! When the light is activated on the pen it's just the right brightness, not so bright it shocks the senses but plenty bright enough to see your writing surface well, as well as seeing what your writing. I've also used it as a flashlight to look for a small object I'd dropped. I've been using these pens for over a month. I find I reach for it often, to use just for writing (without the light on). I've given one away, tucked one in my purse, keep one on my desk, and of course have one tucked into my planner. I'm picky when it comes to pens, they have to feel 'right' in my hand, the ink must be smooth, and there can be no drag, scratchiness, or skipping. These pens has given me none of those problems. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this product. Hope it works for you, too!

This is a good pen and writes fairly well. I like that the clicker controls the light not the tip , which protrudes when the barrel is rotated. Other pens require clicking once for just the pen and then two clicks for the ball point AND the light. This gets tiresome after using them for awhile. With this pen you can just leave the the tip ready for use all the time and then click the top if you also need some light. Much better system. The light sufficiently illuminates the writing area.

My job requires me to write things with low light so I bought these thinking it would help. These pens are super useful in the dark and have a nice amount of light. However they come apart too easily. I bought a package of 3 and have only 1 left because they come apart inadvertently. I realize they come apart on purpose so you can change out the ink & battery but that is when you want or need to change ink & battery. Mine seem to loosen on their own in my pocket. I would tighten them but I found myself tightening them every time I’d go to use it. Got a bit annoying. A few times I’d try to not deal with tightening the pen and then it would just come apart. The parts are in several small pieces so it is hard to put back together properly ( spring, ink, click button, pen tube, battery, etc). Will be looking for another option. Bummed cause the actual pen itself gave off great light and wrote nicely. Update: January 2019 So the company sent me some new pens since my original review stated that I wasn’t completely satisfied. After receiving the new pens, I have used them now for several months and have found that the pens have held up quite well. I use the pens in the complete dark (for work) and the glow of the pens is not overwhelming but gives off enough light that I can do the work required of my job. I will be adding the remaining 2 stars giving the pens a 5 star rating. Every now and then I have to tighten the pen as it loosens over time & with usage. As far as the function of the pen it works nicely . The light and the ink work great. I often get asked about the pen and people admire it. Also the pen company didn’t hesitate to replace my original set of pens. I didn’t give the first set of pens enough time. The company’s commitment to quality of there product was A+.

Good pen. They write well. They are nice and bright so that they can be seen at night at an accident scene. I have lost many pens at night because I just didn't know I was leaving them behind. Only problem is that in one of the pens it is missing the glow in the dark bead. For what I use them for this is important. It comes with new batteries, three blue and three black refills.

I keep a detailed sleep record so I use this fantastic product every single night and I don't know how I did without it!!! I was actually sent FOUR pens- 3 red and one white pen. I gave the white pen to the electrician and one of the red pens to my neighbor and I will give a red pen to my adult son when I see him in January 2026.

I really liked these. I am a nightshift health care worker and thought that they would be perfect. I just began using them on Thursday night and 2 have broken already. The bottom fell out of the first one and the ink is stuck inside of the second one. Update 10/15: I received a message from the seller stating that they had read my review and offered me a full refund. I am very impressed by this and appreciate the follow through.

This was a gift for my writer boyfriend who often has great ideas in the middle of the night. Instead of getting out of bed and going to his desk to make notes, he now just picks up the pen, snaps on the light, and makes notes on the pad on the bedside table. He loves it! And the pen can also be used as a flashlight, it's that bright!

Wow, absolutely brilliant product. These pens are definitely a game changer for me. Long work meetings, night reader and dream note taker. A must have. I love the super smooth writing in this easy to use pen 🖊 light/ lighting pen. They are comfortable to hold even after my usual note taking sessions ( which can last for hours in my field of work). (The bigger your fingers the better) The writing is so smooth it feels like an oil paint brush on canvas, and the fine tips make this a great option for filling forms and small writing spaces. The package comes with a generous supply of 3 pens ready to go with black and blue. I got 7 black and 2 blue inks A total of 9 ink cartridges in total And an extra 3 pack of batteries The pens each comes wrapped separately so there’s no scratches on them and each has its own cap where you can click on or off the light feature. Great little Pen Arrived well packed and all 3 worked out the box. Comes with spare batteries and Ink refills as a bonus which will be needed because of the design of the pen they are small and will not hold a lot of ink
