Great alarm, great app that works with their water sensors too
I'm a huge fan of X-Sense and their products. The fact they make an integrated alarm system that works with their water detectors is awesome. These are handsome, high tech units, loud and effective. I had one go off when the fire in my wood stove was smoldering and the carbon dioxide spiked. Of course it was in the middle of the night so it scared me half to death, but I grabbed my phone, ran down to check the wood stove and everything was fine. It's a little too sensitive to be too close to a wood stove, but between the alarm on the unit and in the app on my phone, I was awake immediately!Honestly, if you're in the market, X-Sense water leak detectors, which I have all over the house (they've alerted me to a few leaks too!) combined with these smoke detectors is a fairly lost cost solution to monitoring conditions that can be life threatening or can cause a lot of damage and expense. I'm not paid by them in any way, I just think they are good products that do what they say. The batteries in their water sensors absolutely last forever.

Best system on the market for the money
I knew what I wanted: smoke and carbon monoxide alarm combination; units that talked to each other so if one went off, they all did; units that connected to WiFi via an app so I could check them from anywhere; units that had replaceable batteries; and finally, units that could be set up easily with no hassles. The big box stores and hardware stores all told me no such unit/system existed.Thankfully, they were wrong!X-Sense has created such a system, and it is incredible. They thought of everything from both an operational viewpoint and from a customer’s viewpoint. The packaging and what was in the box (including everything you need to mount the units), the documentation/user manual, and the set up are very well thought through. Unpacking to being fully operational with the base station and five connected alarms on the walls, plus having the app set up on my phone, took less than a half hour. It was enjoyable for once to set up such a system because it was so easy, and it worked as shown in the user manual! What a novelty…And a bonus – when the alarms are hung on the wall, they are straight! Not rotated 67.8 or some other random degrees from horizontal. And it was easy to do because X-Sense thought about this aspect as well! Clearly, X-Sense put a lot of thought into the design of the alarm unit. These are the first alarms I have had that look great on the wall.I know that my house is protected, and that I can deal with any issue quickly whether I am home or not. It is nice to be confident that my family is safe.If you are looking for new alarms or want to replace an old system (as I did), then I highly recommend X-Sense without reservation.Thank you X-Sense!!

Great safety device.
I love the I integration of voice and identification of alarm room. Only issue is the limited list of preProgrammed rooms. I also added regular fire alarms and water alarms on the same system. Easy to install and program.

Good, one hiccup so far
We've had one false alarm in our opinion. Was able to shut off with phone which is great.Wish they made a hard wires smart version though. We have a 100 year old house so half the detectors are battery and half are hard wired (when a section of house was renovated). So we have First Alert for the hard wires, and XSense for batteries. Wish they were all on one smart system hub.

Finally a fire alarm that works!
Finally a fire alarm that works! After buying about 3 rounds of first alert/kidde fire alarms from a combination of Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Amazon, and having them all fail within a short period of time (tons of false positive alerts) we’ve finally installed something that works! The false positives were driving us nuts, and our house is very clean (so dust wasn’t an issue) and we tried multiple types of alarms from multiple sellers and kept having issues. So far, these work but are not too sensitive (ie the shower steam isn’t setting them off when we open the door), and we love how we can manage and monitor through the app on our phone.Definitely would recommend these to anyone fed up with traditional fire alarms.
