Went on holiday for 3 weeks and was nervous about how this would perform. But we returned home to happy fish!It’s really hard to test because you can only set it to feed every 12, 24 or 48 hours so how do you organise to be there when it should feed? In the end I tested it by catching the feed on paper.With that in mind get it well before you go so you can set it up and test it to your satisfaction first for a few feed cycles. You may even be able to set it up so this is the way you always feed the fish.I tried it with the fine granules that Amazon suggested as a linked purchase and all was well. Fully recommend for long holidays away from the fish

Good value for money brought to use for an outside pond for when on holiday at a fraction of an outside pond type. Easy to operate and set up, I've used an empty milk bottle with bottom cut out to protect from rain as this will only be used for the odd week away in the year so ideal for what I wanted

I was hesitant if this would work. But it did. You can set it to different time spacing. However I have given it one less star because I can’t figure out how to turn the thing off! I set it to manual but it stays on the timer and doesn’t turn off. It’s a good little gadget though and fitted okay ish on my fish tank. It kept my fish fed while on holiday so it does the job.

Fantastic product easy to use but work out where to place opening to judge amount of food deposited before you place on the tank.

Bought because we were going holiday, worked really well, fish were still alive when we got back 😂

I purchased this Automatic Fish Feeder as I was going on holiday for 10 days to ensure my tropical fish were fed while I was away.I set up the fish feeder on the top of the tank exactly as per the instructions to automatically feed my fish every 24 Hours.I had been away for 5 days , my daughter had to go to my house to collect some post and was met with a tremendous smell and the site of the fish aquarium completely contaminated with all the fish dead, the automatic feeder had “ dumped “ all the fish food loaded into the container in one operation, this contaminated the water and killed the fish. The smell from these dead fish and the contaminated aquarium water filled the house with a horrible rancid smell.This was the first time I had used this appliance and It was set up exactly as the instructions.All 15 of my fish died , the plants . the pump filters and the aquarium wood objects were contaminated and had to be disposed off.My estimated costs for this unit failing is an excess of £200

It’s working as it should. However…. the adjustable hole for the food is quite lose and doesn’t stay in the position I need it. I have used a bit of tape to stick it in position. Also when it rains hard (I have this on my half barrel pond outside) the water gets in through the food dispenser hole making the pellets soggy and sticky. Probably not made to be used outside.
