Mi antigua luz led dejo de encenderse y adquirí esta opción que era parecida a la anterior. Tiene muy buena calidad y tiene todos los colores de LED integrados. El problema es que tres de los botones del control parecen repetirse en su función de subir la brillantez en 10 pasos y cuando quieres bajar o subir tienes que hacer el ciclo completo desde baja intensidad de luz hasta una muy alta y si quieres regresar tienes que de nuevo empezar de nuevo. Los peces acaban lampareados cuando llegas al 100% de brillantes que es excesiva. Otro detalle es que no tienes un botón para directamente apagar todo y dejar solo los leds Azules para la noche. Para lograrlo tienes que de nuevo dar todo el ciclo completo de 20, 50, etc hasta llegar al 100% de brillo para luego arribar a la pura luz azul. Ello es muy tedioso y repetitivo.

I have had this light for nearly a year now and I am am very happy with it. The light quality is very good with aquatic plants growing well. The functionality with regards to the timer is simple but effective, with the light ramping up in brightness. The only downside is that while the timer runs on 24 hour cycle there is no clock function. This means that, if for example you wanted to select the 6 hour light period, you must be present and set the timer at the time of day when you want the light period to begin. This can be annoying if you happen to power off the light, as you have to then make yourself available for next day and time when you would like to set the timer. Still I would probably buy this again for a similar size tank.

Bought this for a new 29 gallon tank. It works well. The light is BRIGHT if you do not turn it down. I taped the sliders so that they do not extend too far and fall in the tank. If I have any complaint it is that the timer does not know what time it is. If I want it to light from noon to 10PM I have to be there at noon and set the 10 hour button. Then it will go on for ever. The newer model has a real clock timer but is much more expensive. For the price it is great. This thing is WAY better than the fluorescent lights we used in the old days.

Pros: - good hardware quality and look - great lighting spectrum quality - It is pretty resilient to general wear and tear Cons: - I have found that after a while I will need to reset the timer because it gradually starts turning on later and later and or stays on for shorter and shorter time periods until it stops turning on all together and I'm force to reset it. - wish it an 8 hr setting
