Worth the money!
Third set of different countersink bits for a project. Cut into steel channel strut with no problem, nice clean holes, didn't even affect the finish on the bit. These will last a while!

Excellent
This sink is hard as hell! Goes through any hardwood like butter! Will also carve up any nail or screw near the new counter you decide to make! Thanks!

Works well in wood
I have a workshop that is at a different location than my house, but between making cabinets at my workshop and doing projects around the house, my countersink bit is always at the wrong location, so I figured I would get a second countersink bit so that I don't have to always bring the one that I have back and forth. I mostly work with wood with a little bit of metal occasionally. So far, I've only used this with wood, but it countersinks nicely with little chatter or fuss. I like that it has a 1/4" hex shank (my other one is a round shank) with the ball detent for an impact driver--more options make for faster work when I can keep a drill bit chucked in my drill and this countersink in my impact driver instead of switching back and forth.Obviously I wouldn't expect any significant wear on the bit from using it in wood; once I have a chance to try this on metal I'll report back.

awesome countersink bit set..
I do all kinds of DIY projects in my garage. I have been working on a diorama for a Christmas present for my friend. I needed to make some faux welding tanks and a compressor for a mechanics scene I am working on. I needed to core some Styrofoam (the 2" pink stuff) for the round cylinders. The best way to do that is to sharpen the end of a aluminum tube and use that for a tool to make cores out of the foam. You have to make the edge very sharp, or you will just crush the foam as opposed to cutting it. Long story short (too late for that) this is where these counter sink bits come in. I just mounted the tube in my bench vise and used the appropriate bit to make an edge. A little bit of filling to get the burrs off and job done. Worked like a dream and I was able to make several cores in case I messed up. I have used these bits for wood also and they worked great. They make a very clean countersink with little to no chatter. I have herd (You Tube) that if you start the drill in reverse to get started that eliminates the chatter. With these bits I did not have to do that. They work best in hardwoods and metal, but I think I will reserve these bits for just metal. I don't work with metal very often, mostly wood, so these bits should last a long time. The set came in a very nice case with a foam liner cut to fit each bit. These are great countersink bits and I can definitely recommend this set.....

Good Enough for The Road Show
I had a nice counter sink (HSS) I always kept in a gasketed box that holds nut drivers, screw bits, the counter sink, my soul, and a bunch of other do-hickies. It's gone with me (the box) where ever I've worked for twenty five years +. The counter sink, probably 2 years old, left home a couple months back. I go out every night and holler for her, but she just doesn't come back. I may never forget her, but I have to say the grief isn't nearly as biting since I got this beautiful TiAlN coated toolant Noir-Ti 5 piece Cobalt Countersink Set.Wow - this a nice set. Won't fit in the box but it fits in the bucket, and it goes with me every where too. I really don't need all 5 of these with me - but it's always nice to have options. I use them mostly on wood, I've reamed out some hinges and a few other mild steel pieces. The TiAlN coating looks no worse for the wear. This is a quality set that is selling for about 40 bucks at the time of this writing - it's a deal. I haven't used the set on any hardened steels - I have a well equipped machine shop for that. I can tell you - if I'm machining something and can't find the chamfer or countersink I need fast enough - I won't hesitate to grab this set. Some circumstances – the hex drive won't work – but it's good enough for the Road Show.7 Super Novas for The TiAlN coated toolant Noir-Ti 5 piece Cobalt Countersink Set ~ Thanks for Reading - Have an Incredible Life! ~

perfect for my DIYs
The Toolant Noir-Ti Cobalt Countersink Drill Bit Set is a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their toolkit with reliable and versatile drill bits. The titanium aluminum nitride coating is a standout feature, providing increased surface hardness and excellent heat resistance, which helps the bits stay sharp and cut efficiently. I found the quick-change hex shank to be incredibly convenient, allowing for fast and easy bit swaps during projects. This set is particularly useful for a variety of materials, including metal, wood, and plastic, making it a versatile addition to any DIY enthusiast's collection. However, some users might find the price a bit steep compared to other sets, but the quality and durability could justify the investment for those who frequently work with tough materials. Overall, it's a dependable set that performs well in demanding scenarios.
