I used two of these kits to make perimeter cove lighting on our screen porch. The install was easy and the systems have been working well for over 3 years.

2nd Review Pautix contacted me about my issue (see 1st review below) and provided customer service one rarely sees today. They went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They were thorough and timely in their responses. They even sent me an entire new set with diagrams on how to install. They sent me an updated design of the 'L' connectors which solved my problem. There was no heat being generated anymore and the lights work perfectly. Generally speaking, I prefer COB above LED as COB is a cleaner look, it looks like a solid bar of light as opposed to seeing the individual diodes on LED strips. HIGHLY recommend Pautix, not only for great products but for their spectacular customer service and taking care of consumers. I'd give more than 5 stars if it were possible. 1st Review So I installed COB lights on the back of my 75 inch. Lights (by the same company: Pautix) look great honestly. Really pleased with the overall look. I used 3 of the 'L' connectors. 2 of the 3 are fine, generates no heat. Odd thing is, of the 1 'L' connector that is generating heat, it's only on 1 side and it is BURNING hot, to the point, it's painful to touch. Given the set came with 4 'L' connectors, I decided to swap it out with another 'L' connector to see if the problem persists and it STILL generates a ton of heat. It's a bit concerning cause I think it's gonna burn up or cause a fire. Too bad, b/c I think for the most part it's a great products, just can't seem to understand why 1 side of 1 'L' connector generates a ton of heat.

I used these with the spools of PAUTIX COB led strips to add lights to my closet shelves. Needed to run wire in-between shelves and these worked great to connect them with 22 gauge hookup wire. I recommend taking the time to look into where the teeth bite into the led strip and ensure they land right on a copper pad before crimping them- that'll make sure they'll connect well electrically. They grab the wire and the led strip pretty well, I'm satisfied with them.

After far too long troubleshooting, including skipping the plastic connector and directly soldering the wires to ensure a solid connection, I have determined my bag of product seems to be backwards. This made installation take a bit longer than I expected. The attached pictures show how I finally got it working (both powered on and powered off, to make seeing the wire color easier), which is connecting the gray wire to the positive terminal. Other than that, the connectors seem fine and were what I was looking for. So ultimately, if your strip isn't lighting and you're sure you've got a solid connection, try flipping the wires and see if it works. The company did reach out to provide assistance with solving the problem, but I had already solved it by flipping the wires in the connector itself. They did suggest that it could be an issue stemming from the fact I have 3 different brands in play (power supply, connectors, and LED strip) but everything *should* be interchangeable as long as the specs match.
