A truly adjustable sling that got me through 6 painful weeks. A few quibbles.
The Emergency Room sent me home with a sling after I broke my shoulder, with stern warnings to keep the shoulder still. That sling was loose -- at least one size too big -- and there was no way to get in and out of it myself. So I looked for alternatives. This Ergofoam sling made me feel as though I was wrapped in bubble wrap. It kept everything _still_, so that I didn't feel that a minor jostle would cause harm. It was far easier to sleep wearing this than the fabric slings were, because it has structure of its own. Unlike less expensive slings that put pressure on my neck, this one let me move things around until I was reasonably comfortable. You -- or a caregiver -- can adjust all sorts of straps and connectors. One you have it set just-so, it's possible to get into it (say, after a shower) on your own... most of the way. You put your injured arm into its foam cozy, and then slide into the "contraption" side of things. But you still need a caregiver to help with that sliding and then to connect the connectors. (That isn't a criticism, just setting expectations. I sure didn't know what questions to ask when I got hurt and I assume you are in the same predicament.) Over time, of course, it does need to go into the wash. The foam section gets sweaty and fills up with a lot of dead skin -- especially given that I had to go out in 110-degree Arizona heat. Fortunately, it went through the washing machine on a cold setting just fine, and then air dried. (I wore the fabric sling for the day.) One annoyance is a side effect of all those adjustments. There is a lot of velcro on this doohickey, part of its adjustability. However, by the nature of my injury, I didn't need the abduction pillow. The pillow connects to the "where your arm hangs out" part with a velcro band. I could leave off the pillow, but the velcro band is scratchy. That wasn't a problem when I wore it over a shirt, but it meant I had to wear a shirt (or pajamas) to bed. If the company supplied a velcro "blank" to smooth over that rough spot, I would have had more options. You might be thinking, "Geez, how much money do I want to invest in something I will wear for only 6 weeks?" I assure you that it is worth the money to get a good sturdy, adjustable sling. You'll feel like you are being _held_, rather than hoping to remain still.

Comfortable with good support
Nice and comfortable with good support post rotator cuff surgery. I would recommend this product to anybody that’s looking for one!

Good, comfortable support, but room for improvement
I selected this product mainly for the inclusion of the pillow, and for backpack like strap that does a good job keeping the shoulder strap away from my neck. The strap that goes under the arm also keeps the injured arm in the proper position. All good so far. The production quality seems very good. As I'm experiencing it, one improvement would be to have some cushioning under the O ring that lies in the middle of the back. It can become uncomfortable when resting in a recliner for a period of time, as I am recovering from shoulder surgery. It would also be good if the pillow were softer, maybe memory foam. It's fine as is when upright or. walking around, but uncomfortable when sleeping, as I've been instructed to do. My solution has been to remove that pillow and replace it with a similar thickness throw pillow at night. Although my arm stays in place pretty well, it would also be nice to optional straps to go between the thumb and the other fingers.

Great sling
My mom had shoulder surgery and she loved this sling. It is far more comfortable than the one the doctor gave her. It fits around the arm more like a sleeve so to speak so it is not pulling on your neck.

A must for shoulder or rotator cuff surgery.
I bought this after my prescribed sling broke 2 weeks post op shoulder surgery, and I still had 4 weeks left to wear it. The design is very comfortable, fit me better, and easy to put on and take off. The quality is better than the one my doctors office gave me. Easy to adjust as well.

Comfortable sling
This sling is much more comfortable that the one sent home with me after rotator cuff surgery. The first sling pulled on my neck too much, while this one distributes the forces much better.

This Sling Is Better than the Neck Version.
This sling takes the pressure off of my neck. With the Rotator Cuff surgery, you’re required to sleep in the brace for six weeks and I slept in a recliner to be able to get up, The old neck brace was digging into my neck and I couldn’t sleep. This brace distributes the pressure and I felt so much better. Even my Physical Therapist and Surgeon loved lives the brace and asked where I got it. I had my therapist adjust it for me to ensure the right fit. It was easier to get on and off,

Much better than the sling the doctor’s office provided
This sling is much more comfortable than the one I received from the doctors office. The sling itself is padded and makes my elbow and arm feel much more stable. It does have a tendency to be warm so I have used a linen pillowcase to line the sling so it has some breathability. The shoulder harness is excellent. The only thing I would change on this sling and pillow are the straps could be better quality. The edges tend to be a little rough after a weeks of use. They could be upgraded for a few more dollars and it would be at 100% better product. I ended up changing out the waist strap from the one I received from the doctors office and now have no complaints.

Ensure you order the correct side! I just ordered the first one of these i saw after reading the reviews. I saw a couple that said it was changeable, it is not. Glad i reviewed my order changed it to the left shoulder as i live in New Zealand and it takes a while for items to arrive as it is. It is handy to have someone give you a hand when putting it on, I'm lucky enough to be pain free after my rotator cuff surgery so it's not too bad putting it on ( I'm currently week 2 of 6 that requires the sling). It was instant relief on the neck with the shoulder harness, man all slings should do the shoulder rig setup. I'm not the smallest guy ( 6ft1 & 330lb ) so the straps could be a bit longer. May be longer and the user could trim to a good length? Oh, yea it comes with a squeeze ball, but no way of attaching it to the sling, had to use the cradle from my original sling to use with this sling. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I would recommend this sling.

Fits well, good quality, does a great job of supporting the arm as a result of shoulder surgery

Fits anyone of any size. Right or left arm. Adjustable in every way. Adjustment straps are covered as to not scratch de body. Arm is very supported. Incredibly satisfied with my purchase. Strongly recommend it for anyone having shoulder surgery.

Confortable support for after rotator cuff surgery. Good quality. The only thing missing would be a thumb holder to keep the arms always in place. The cushion could be a little smaller as well but it is a one size fits all.

Used this for Extensive Rt Shoulder repair recovery for 6 weeks. Always leave the abductor pad in place around the waist to support the compromised shoulder. Worked very well with the supplied Abductor pad and used during the day and to sleep at night only removing to dress or install the ice machine . Had the sling adjusted before surgery to fit comfortably over the type of shirt to be worn after surgery. For the sling, leave the buckle closest to the body attached at all times to keep the sling and the straps from getting twisted or clipped incorrectly. Hold sling in front of body and you will have 2 loops. Place the healthy arm through the one loop that is attached to the finger end of the sling and place head and compromised arm and shoulder through the loop with the elbow end of the sling making sure the sling has the open clasp to the front/away from the body. Place thumb loop of the buckle of the sling and attach the clasp. lift arm and adjust the abductor in place then place the sling on the abductor in the proper position and push on the abductor Velcro. You will have the sling and shoulder in place and comfortable as set previously. Ball was handy for exercising right after surgery to keep the swelling down and being black, the dog did not grab it. The only reason I gave a 4 is that their is no thumb strap. I found now and when I previously separated my shoulder this is crucial. The thumb strap locks the elbow in the pocket of the sling that locks the shoulder in place. Later on you can use the thumb loop or not depending on how the shoulder feels. I found this helped some shoulder latitude with the thumb out or locked in depending on how my shoulder and muscles felt during the day and night. I fabricated a doubled loop of 1/2" cotton rope and placed this over the front clasp and this worked very well to place my thumb in and out. Straps and sling were well protected with padding and very comfortable for the 6 weeks. If the abductor is removed leave the Velcro loop attached on the clip. Place the abductor in the proper position and hold lightly with the weight of your arm. Lay the latch end over the back of a chair and that will hold it high enough that you can reach it if you rotate your body making the latch end available to your good arm/hand that can then attach the clasp and the abductor will then be in place. I would recommend this product.
