It’s a nice gate and seems like sturdy quality. However, I ordered two of the smaller size, and paid extra for a gate that’s the larger size. When delivered, they were all the exact same size. Using the extension pieces, it fit two of doorframes. The third door frame, with an extension the gate is too wide, but without the extension the gate is too small. The bolt extender pieces also don’t fit in the extension pieces as well as they do in the actual gate pieces. So I had to cut the bolts shorter about 3/4” to make them fit better and managed to make it fit into the doorframe better. Overall a good gate but was a bit complicated in a couple of ways.

Works as stated

We got this gate to prevent our cat from going down a set of stairs in our house. Since we put it at the top of the stairs he doesn’t jump over it, but I’m sure he would try if it was in a completely flat area. The spaces between slats are small enough he can’t slip through. It fits great in the space we have. The locking mechanism is easy to open and close! The black does nicely with other black furniture items that are adjacent so we are happy with the look. So far with months of use it holds up great! Very happy. I’d say the only downside is that when the gate is open if you have large things in your hands it makes it challenging to pass through because the open walking space width is narrow. But that’s kind of to be expected with adding a gate.
