I purchased the Snuggledown Scandi Collection Single Duvet, and took my time before I decided to review, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. For about 5 years now I have had a duvet that resembles a cheap napkin! Perfect for the summer but you will barely survive the winter! I this year decided to finally get a thick duvet. Didn't take me long to stumble on this, the price was affordable and it was Amazon recommended, Amazon are never wrong right? It was coming up to winter so I needed to buy this. It arrived a day earlier than predicted! I accidentally ordered it to my work... I had to lug it around on the train and 5km home, safe to say it wasn't comfortable walk! It was very nicely packaged, big box, amazing for security and packaging... Horrid to carry. First inspections: the blanket was very nice quality, no loose threads or bad stitching. There was a lot of reviews with bad stitching but it was really nice quality. Soft to the touch, very thick and I couldn't wait to test it out. First, duvet covers and make the bed. My goodness, with my old napkin duvet it was extremely easy. This new 13.5 tog, you need 6 arms to put the duvet covers on. Consumed by the covers and it was done. It is a workout to get it on, no need for the gym, buy this duvet! Felt like I lost a stone. Ready for bed, absolute delight! So comfortable, it is incredible. I have never had a thick duvet so this was a life of luxury for me. Safe to say that night I fell asleep very quick. To get out of bed in the mornings is extremely difficult. You do not want to leave at all. It's like receiving a big warm hug each time you get under the covers. Two months of ownership, I love the duvet. It's helped with my sleeping disorders, it's really helped with my cold room throughout this winter. Wake up toasty, comfy and snuggled up. Sharing the bed with my partner isn't too hot either, it's the perfect temperature. I would love to see how it does in the summer as it is very thick. But so far it does extremely well dissipating heat. Had a bad fever a few weeks ago and I could still be comfy in the covers. My bug bare is the thickness and heaviness when you make the bed. It is a real task, you need three people! It could just be that I'm rubbish at making beds though. I highly recommend this duvet! Very good value for money, great quality and my partner not feeling like an ice pole when you go in for a snuggle. Extremely happy buyer, just need to master making a bed.

I am very impressed with the quality of this duvet. I had been looking for a thick, fluffy, warm duvet that wasn’t outrageous in price for ages and this definitely hit all those points!

Ok, full disclosure: I didn’t actually buy this duvet to use as a duvet. This is not as weird as it sounds. I was actually looking for a mattress topper for my Mum. She broke her hip and her mattress is a little lumpy and we can’t afford to replace it. All the mattress topper’s I’ve bought have been disappointing. Despite claims, they are neither ‘thick’ nor ‘luxurious’. Even the cheaper mattress toppers are expensive for what they are. Plan B led me to a good quality, high tog duvet that I can position under a fitted bed sheet. This seemed to fit the bill. In reality it is even better. As her bed is a single one I’ve managed to double the duvet under the sheet and it is like laying on air. The pain in her hip has reduced and she is sleeping better. For those of you just looking for the duvet, this is high quality, thick, but does not feel heavy at all. It is a bargain buy as a duvet, or a mattress topper for lumpy mattresses!

I got the 4.5 tog and it’s so nice. Such an amazing soft duvet, it feels like clouds and it’s so soft. It’s so comfortable to lay on and to lay under. It’s probably the best duvet I’ve gotten so far, my last duvet was good but just a bit too heavy for my liking, but this does the job and fits my needs perfectly. It’s very light weight and just feels so amazing. It’s really warm and worth every penny spent. The smell when first opening it does smell of factory but that goes away after being let out of the bag to air for a few hours.

This is a lovely, quality duvet. I only bought a double but it fits my bed just right, with a slight overhang on each side. I stayed at an Airbnb where they had a suggledown duvet and it was the best, fattest, snuggliest duvet ever! This isn't exactly the same (there's so many different ones!), but it IS a great duvet. Keeps me warm and snug. After Christmas, in my quest to track down the one identical to the one in the Airbnb, I may try another one and put this one on the spare bed!
