Scarpa HS12 Footwear Cream (200ml) - AW22

My Scarpa Tera walking boots were in need of a little TLC, and having looked at various reviews online, I opted for this Scarpa HS12 Footwear Cream. It is dead easy to use. First, get rid of any mud off your boots using a boot brush, then wash your boots using warm water and a soft cloth, leave them to almost dry out, and then apply the Scarpa cream using the applicator sponge that is inside the lid of the pot. A small amount of the cream goes a long way, and really brings back the shine of the leather. As many others note, it does make the leather go a shade or two darker, but that is fine. The leather has been fully refreshed and looks healthy again. At £17.99, it does feel expensive, but given how little you need at a time, and how much it conditions expensive walking boots; I feel it is worth it.

I picked up this Scarpa HS12 cream to give my leather walking boots a bit more life and protection before the wetter months, and I’ve honestly been very pleased with how well it works. The sponge applicator makes it easy to spread the cream into the leather, and it doesn’t leave a heavy buildup or sticky mess — just a nice, even finish that absorbs well. After applying it a couple of times, water really beads off the boots, which was noticeable even on an early morning walk in drizzle. I also think it helps keep the leather more supple and prevent drying or cracking, which has kept my boots looking fresher between hikes. For the price it’s a great addition to my boot care routine, and I’ll keep using it each season.

I paid a lot of money for my Scarpa boots and this cream, although expensive, is excellent. I would certainly recommend it. Together with the waterproof spray it's the perfect protector for hard working boots.

Easy to use with the applicator sponge. Gave my boots a couple of applications as they were in desperate need of a clean and some TLC. So far they seem to be repelling the water. It's very wet and muddy out there at the moment so I'm planning on reapplying weekly. It does change the colour slightly, but I'm using it on my walking boots so not a problem.

This is so much easier to apply than wax/dubbin type products as it is more liquid and comes with a sponge applicator so you can sponge it on. It gives the boots a shine, stops the leather looking dry and helps them be impervious to water. Great stuff !

This is more expensive than some similar products, but worth it. Very easy to apply and absorbs into leather well with the applicator giving a really nice shine and waterproofing. I bought a cheaper alternative and the wax just sat on the surface, could not get it to absorb and just went back to using this. Just use it regularly to keep that water out.

Use on my golf shoes and walking boots, great waterproofing

I have used Scarpa cream for 10 years on my walking boots. It is effective at maintaining condition and waterproofing and easy to apply. Good value too.

Very expensive

Fait parfaitement bien le taf. Ça m'a permis de 'rajeunir' une paire de chaussures Gore-Tex qui commençait à prendre l'eau. J'en ai aussi appliqué sur une paire de chaussures cramponable avant même sa première utilisation et c'est parfait. Une vielle brosse à dents est parfait pour appliquer le produit

Die Schuhcreme ist sehr ergiebig, der Geruch könnte etwas besser sein, ist aber nicht total unangenehm.

I use it fot Scarpa Mescalito (even if they are suede) and Scarpa Zen it also works on nubuck leather shoes, And fast delivery from shop , great packing 10/10
