Fingernails
I love to use these as hair sticks, but I ordered the wrong length this time. These are so short and cute! I also like to use them for cleaning under my nails and on fory cuticles, so I'll be keeping the "babies" for that. The 4-6 inch ones are perfect for hair.

Misleading pictures and listing title
None of these are long enough to be a hair stick! They're all under 3 inches. I would return them except it's such a pain in the rear. Seller needs to update the listing with this information.

Good tool for needlepoint - ribbon laying tool
I use these quills for laying ribbon flat on mono needlepoint canvases. Each one measures about 3" long. They wouldn't be long enough to use for hair pins or other similar uses. I wrap my ribbon around the stick and slowly lay the ribbon flat on my mono canvases. The tip can be used to help further flatten the ribbon if it wrinkles. They are sharp but not too sharp. I don't feel like they are sharp enough to draw blood easily. The small size allows for this to fit nicely in my needlepoint accessories mini bag and would be airplane friendly if flying opposed to a traditional laying tool. If it got confiscated, this pack came with a few more so I would have plenty. A few of them did have splintered points on them. Those wouldn't be as useful to me as the threads would catch.
