The Farmyard Jamboree (Barefoot Books Singalongs)

My grandson, age 2, loves this book and CD. I also have used it with my preschool class (3's). They enjoy listening to the CD while following the pictures in the book. It's a very cheerful song from Chile that teaches many concepts including farm animal names and the names of their young, family members, and counting by 2's. It's a repetitive song that children learn quickly. Highly recommended.

The children in my class love this book.

This is a really cute book. I purchased it used and it came without a CD. However, if you go to their website, www.barefootbooks.com, which is on the back cover of the book, you can listen to the song. Since I teach preschool and wanted the kids to learn it, that was very helpful. :) I agree with other reviewers that it starts a little slow and then picks up speed.

It was in great condition. It's a great book! I love the song too- I'm going to use it with my kindergarten class in our animals unit.

My 3 year old son loves Bareffot Books videos on YouTube. This book and the others are wonderful. Bright and colorful, and the songs are great.

Ok, I just read another review by a teacher of students with autism. I am also a teacher who works with children with autism and they love this book. Like the other reviewer I was disappointed at first and my students didn't seem to enjoy it on the first read through but then it became one of the most requested stories during circle time. They cannot get enough of it.

Awesome book for preschool teachers! A good 6 min song, very catchy, and the kids love it!

I have bought this countless times for birthday presents and music classes and pre school classes. It is so much fun. The song is lovely and repeptitive and the children pick up some of the repeated refrains and also have fun making animal sounds. It also introduces them to counting in twos and addition up to 16, so it's great for number related work. Musically it also has increases and decreases in speed, opportunities to clap along and explore syncopation and rhythm. A fantastic book that I continue to recommend to as many people as possible.

届いてすぐ、中身を見たときには「アレー、文多すぎ・・・」とちと不安になりましたが、いやいやなんのその。ある日おばあちゃんが鶏をくれて、鶏がヒヨコを産んで・・・。次におじいちゃんがアヒルをくれて、アヒルがアヒルの子を産んで・・・。と、犬、猫、ひつじ、ブタ、馬、牛、とどんどん動物は増えていき、最後は友達がくれたギターでギターをひきながらみんなでダンスをする・・・というほのぼのストーリー。 文は確かに長いのですが、動物名が変わるだけの同じ文章なので、全く問題ありませんでした。繰り返されることによって逆に娘は文を覚えておりました。 とにかく動物好きにはたまらないと思います。どんどん動物が増えて行く様子にウキウキするし、動物の赤ちゃん名（子牛：calf、子馬colt、アヒルの子：dacklingなど）も意外と知らなかったりしたので勉強になりました。 ＣＤついてて１０００円は安いと思うけど、音楽はかなりシブめです(:_:) うちの子は気に入っていましたが。
