Are these easy to install on the front sight? And is it easy to remove the factory installed one?

Easy to remove old fiber from an M&P front sight. (Just cut one bulb off with a razor knife). Installation of new rod takes a little skill. There are several videos showing how to form a bulb on one end, cut the fiber to length (about 1/16 longer than sight) and then bulb the other end. Key to making the rod last is getting a tight fit so that it does not move when the slide cycles.

Can I drill my Iron sights and force these in there

Can you drill iron sights and force these in---yes, but your results probably won't be as good as you're hoping. I used an appropriate sized drill bit for a loose press fit (1/16"?) and a drop of Krazy Glue to lock the FO rod in place. (Some people say that heating the ends will cause it to mushroom and lock it into place without glue but I was unable to keep a clean, smooth surface--kept bubbling up and wouldn't glow at all) Drill all the way through the sight so that the FO rod sticks out about a mm on either end--otherwise, it won't pick up and transmit any light.I also found that using a chainsaw file or a small, round grinding bit with the Dremel to open up the top of the sight helped make the FO glow better.....but to be completely honest, my DIY FO sights didn't work very well and I am now running TruGlo TFO sights. There just isn't enough real estate on a typical front sight. You need about 1/2" of FO exposed to make it work as well as the commercial sights.

I have an airgun with black sights, is it viableble to glue the fiber optic filament. I can make an appropriate groove, but not sure how to secure it

These replacement filaments are intended for replacing broken or missing fiber optic rods of a sight which previously had one. Not sure how to recommend you go about fabricating a groove to make it work.
