Ian and Wraith, in the same book!!
I literally pre-ordered this book the day it was announced. A mash-up of two of my favorite 'verses? Oh, heck, yeah, I am all in!As mentioned, I am a HUGE fan of both Demonica and Masters and Mercenaries. That said, I had a bit of pause considering how well these two worlds would work together. I shouldn't have worried. Ms. Ione jumped right into the M&M world. One of my first notes in the book was, "Larissa totally gets Ian!"Suzanne was delightful. Positive and happy, infusing that into everything and everyone around her. Declan was...not a people person, let's say. I loved how Suzanne tried to entice Declan, who was determined to stay in the "I'm the bodyguard" lane. (Spoiler alert - he swerved)The book is Demonica-centric, so I'm not sure how it will translate for folks who aren't familiar with the world. The story itself stands alone, but you will most likely be intrigued by the incredible 'verse that is Demonica, which is not a bad thing. For Demonica lovers, Her Guardian Angel is a must read. The arc advances pretty significantly. Plus, you get to meet Ian, if you aren't familiar with Masters and Mercenaries. Ian is very much like a non-demon Wraith, with a passion for lemon desserts. Trust me.Bottom line - Any day I get to spend time with Ian is a good day. Any day I get to spend with Ian and Wraith? Well, I don't even know how to describe the happy! The story is sweet and fun and a little scary (demons with a revenge mission). I loved this collision of worlds!

Can't get enough of this Demonica universe
4.5 starsI was really looking forward to this crossover story featuring 2 of my favorite series, and Declan and Suzanne definitely lived up to my expectations!Declan has always had almost superhuman skills when we have seen him in action in the past M&M stories, and now we finally get to find out why. Dec is Suzanne's assigned Primori- a human whose life is fated to have an important effect on the world in some way. When Declan is attacked by a demon and her warning system doesn't alert her that he is in danger, she puts a plan into motion to keep him close despite the protests of her overprotective big brother Hawkyn. So what if she finds her assigned charge to be far too sexy for her own good? She can behave herself... right? If not, she is determined to have enough fun that losing the chance to Ascend will be worth it!Declan's family history has given him a natural aversion to the rich and powerful, so taking an assignment as a bodyguard to a spoiled heiress is not exactly his first choice. Big Tag doesn't give him much choice though after Declan passes out on the street; no one realizes he passed out thanks to a demon mind attack on him, especially Dec himself. When he realizes he is going to be living in close proximity to the lovely Suzanne for an indefinite length of time, he knows he is going to be in for a whole lot of frustration in more ways than one! She is the oddest mix of innocence at times and wise beyond her years at others and he just cannot figure her out. His idea to try to get some real answers out of her turns way hotter than either of them expected, but things are about to get even more dangerous. Her Guardian Angel was a wonderful mix of hot, sexy moments with great characters and world building that I have come to expect from Ms. Ione's Demonica world! The addition of the faces from the McKay - Taggart world were a fun bonus for me as a fan of both series, and this story will go into the books as one to re-read for me when I need a quick re-visit to the Demonica universe!

Best tie-in with Lexi Blake's series out of these crossovers
I haven't read any of Larissa Ione's books and I'm generally not interested in sci-fi/alternate world romance, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Ione crafted a rich story that I could easily follow even without knowing her Demonica world. Hands down, the best part of this book is Ione's interaction between Demonica characters (mostly Suzanne) and Taggart/Top characters from Blake's world. She nailed Ian Taggart's dialog and she set up a couple of scenes in Sean Taggart's restaurant, Top. This story felt like it was co-written with Blake, which I really enjoyed. The whole demon-slaying, angels amongst humans aspect didn't really interest me, but this story felt at home in Blake's world so I enjoyed it. Also, Ione did a great job of giving the broody Declan an interesting backstory as to why he is the way he is. And I did enjoy the storyline around his tattoo and how he fits into the Demonica world. Considering that I expected to like this crossover the least, I can easily give this book 5 stars for an enjoyable romance and a great job tying these two incredibly different narrative worlds together.

Deliciously funny, hotter than hot
OH-M-GEE! Can Ione write anything better? I love this crossover series by Lexi Blake! This I am a couple of days late in putting up my review, mostly due to the high winds and the internet company trying to tell me there was nothing wrong with my connection. (I know y'all have been there and done that). I hope you find this review is worth the wait.First thing is, go and one click this novella. I'll wait. (let's Jeopardy theme music play) Good, now read it!Deliciously funny, hotter than hot, it was yet another book I read portions aloud to anyone who would listen. A real angel has to protect her charge. How? by pretending to be a human in peril, of course. I am a good person. Where is MY Declan? Whoa boy, I want me one of him! But, I think I say that with every book I read of Ione's.So glad you've one-clicked this book because there are so many things I haven't said about this book. One last thing. Beautiful set up for the next Demonica novel. I hope we get to see both Declan and Suzanne as well as Hawkyn and Aurora within the pages.

Her Guardian Angel
I hadn't realised this was a crossover with the Masters & Mercenaries series, which i am not familiar with.....but now really want too!!This story is a tale of forbidden love. Suzanne, one of Azagoth's Memitim children, falls for her Primori , Declan.I love that we get to catch up with a couple of the other characters. There is quite a lot going on in this story which is building up the storyline and it leaves you wanting more by the time you finish. I am dying to know who in the Demonica world is writing the Demonica comic books that Declan loves so much. This is a well written story with a bit of everything needed in a fantasy read. You have love, humour, other beings and action. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and i am looking forward to the next one.

Her Guardian Angel
An unexpected journey twists and turns flashbacks and action packed this a crossover novella not like the author Lexi blake masters and mercenaries. This is the Demonica underworld the author Larissa lone steps away from the mercenaries and takes you on a unexpected journey. Think men in black and you meet Suzanne and Declans journey my song for them would be forgiven by forgiven by crucifix. Declan from McKay and Targett corporation specialists in bodyguard which takes Declan on a journey he rather forget as two worlds colide his forgotten father and his past creeps up. Suzanne a cheerful, outgoing persona with hidden secrets who is her guardian Angel and who is Declans.Interesting story storyline for someone who is a novice my advice keep reading you begin to enjoy the mayhem.

This one was so imaginative and also a crossover novel.
This one was so imaginative and also a crossover novel.I am new to Lexi Blake masters and mercenaries but have been a fan from the beginning of the Demonica world. This is about Memitim Suzanne the favourite sister of Hawkyn.Suzanne's primori charge is Declan and he is in danger but her usual warning system for detection is not working so she comes up with a scheme to ensure his ongoing safety. She sets herself up in a DeAngelo mansion and gets the unfallen Cipher to create a rich heiress background and also a stalker problem and hires Declan as her personal live-in bodyguard.Suzanne and Declan had such personal chemistry it leapt off the page.I also really loved the fact that Declan was a bit of a nerd alongside his kick-ass persona.I adored his inner geek just so much.Suzanne is a young angel a baby at seventy-five she does her job but she is different from the other Memitims in as such she had a happy human life and liked it.She longs for more than her present existence and from the start had a major crush on her human charge. This story sets the stage for events in the next one and we also get to get more of an insight into cipher and his happy go lucky personality which I imagine is all set to change with his betrayal and kidnap and transformation into a true fallen angel.Such a great addition to the series and can't wait to read Cipher next.

A Very entertaining story š
A thoroughly entertaining story well written . Declan Burke didnāt have the best of childhoods his mother was having an affair with a senetor thinking that once sheād get pregnant that he would leave his wife to be with her . Sadly that never happened infact the senitor had tried to get her to abort Declan his need to get rid of his child continued all though Declans life and he tried to do so many times . His mother however basically blackmailed the senator into giving her money and a prestigious job so that she could live the life style she wanted . As a very troubled teen Declan finally pulled himself together and joined the forces , but after his best buddy was killed he left and found a job as a bodygaurd with MacKay-Taggart thatās where he meets someone who changes his life completely . Suzanne is an earth bound angel her and her fellow angels are assigned to take care and protect mortals who are important to this planets survival . Her first assignment is to protect Declan , as it would seem that something really nasty and evil is after him ,she comes up with a plan that she can keep him close at all times and that is to hire him to bodygaurd her . Of course an elaborate cover story has to be put in place , but itās only a matter of time before the truth starts to seep out and it leads to one action packed fantastic ending .

Wow..unexpectedly good
I love the world of the taggart family and was a bit worried about the crossover series. Duh how stupid was I not to realise that this would be just as good. Loved the demonic and angel geekiness and there was just enough of tag within the story. Storyline was nice and string and the story flowed well. Some sex within the developing relationship but curtailed to private scenes between the two leads. Really enjoyed it. So well done to both authors for opening up a new world.
