I can admit it - I eat a lot of meat sticks. I've subscribed to multiple brands in the past, and I've tried making my own a few times. I enjoy wide variety of flavors. Lorissa's jalapeno sticks are the real deal. They have fantastic heat that obviously comes from real jalapeno peppers which are mixed in. (Not from a powder or a spice.) They are probably the most fresh-tasting meat sticks I have ever had. They're a tad expensive to be my main go-to meat stick, but if they were on par with the cost of other meat sticks, I'd probably gravitate toward these as my go-to. As it is, I regard these as something of a "treat" in my meat stick bin. Nothing wrong with that. I would bring these if I were camping with a foodie friend who would taste and appreciate the difference. I will most certainly be replenishing my stock when these expire. I love spicy snacks but don't like to eat the "75% of calories from fat and no protein" options from the convenience store. (I love Tabasco Slim Jims, but also want to live a bit longer.) I've been slowly working my way through the high-end offerings on Amazon to find beef sticks to use as a snack while working on my farm. Lorissa's Jalepeno Grass-fed Beef Jerky is the best tasting one I've found thus far. (I still have a few to try.) The price is reasonable and they don't dry out as quickly as some other brands if you leave one in your backpack.

I bought these as just a nice easy snack you can eat between meals. TASTE: I bought the Jalapeno flavor since I like a bit of heat and these did fail to provide that. Probably a perfect amount. Possibly too much for a child but a good amount for an adult who likes a bit of heat. The actual beefstick is not necessarily tremendous but definitely better than a slim jim and probably made better as well. Overall, the taste was excellent...suited me just fine. PRICE: Here's where I basically had to take away a star because honestly when you are thinking about buying price is a factor. You are essentially paying $2 for a beefstick you will eat in almost 60 seconds, haha. Although very tasty and may be a bit healthy, the price stay is a bit too steep for my liking. BUY AGAIN: Sure, I would buy these again BUT only when I have a little extra money to spend on something tasty. They are good and worth trying and if you have the money, they are definitely a nice spicy treat.

I know this seems a little over the top, but I work in a chain store that I will not mention, and we used to carry this product. All the employees ate it and loved it and for some reason they stopped carrying it. I found it here on Amazon and I now order it directly to my home, I don’t feel guilty when I’m eating it because it’s not greasy and slimy with weird things in it. It’s delicious and fresh and flavorful and I don’t know why it’s different but it is jalapeño is our favorite. 👍

Pricey, but I think they're worth it! Delicious and perfectly spicey. Perfect for a snack, or an addition to a low carb meal. Love that the beef is grass fed. I've purchased this more than once, and will continue to do so. Highly recommend.

These taste pretty good but leave a waxy feel in my mouth as if my tongue has been coated in grease. I prefer the Chomps brand grassfed beef jalapeno sticks which taste great, are not greasy, and are lower in calories for a slightly larger stick.
