Excellent scratching post! Looks decorative in the living room and it is well made! I had one before with a prior kitty and it lasted a long long time.

My cats loved it from the start. As soon as I put this together, they were using it. They had tore apart their old one and it was beyond a second repair. This cactus is super easy to put together. It has a good height which is great for adult cats to stretch on. It is balanced and sturdy enough that my 16# Maine Coon mix doesn't knock it over and she feels safe using it. The only thing I would change would be to have the sisal rope all the way up. The claws can get stuck in the softer pieces that add the decorative look to it. Because my girls liked it so much and the price was good, I sent one to a friend who does kitten fostering. I had recently visited and his scratching post was totally shredded. Will it last forever? No, none of them do. But you can easily repair it with new sisal rope. That is good for your cat and the environment.
