I have been learning how to do my own nails at home. This ball works great for cleaning the cuticle on your toes and also for cleaning up corns and calluses. I watched our podiatrist do this to my husband and I felt I could get this tool and keep the callus trimmed down so as to alleviate the pain he feels when the callus becomes too bulky. A light, quick touch with this pedicure bit is key.

Great tool for corns

I bought an efile solely for the purpose of reducing my callouses on my feet and the callouses that build up on the sides of my fingersnails toward where the nail extends beyond the free edge. Yes I moisturize, yes I use nail oil several times a day, but the fingernail callouses still get bad enough where they will split or get torn away. I am tired of filing manually - esp. for my feet it takes forever. Anyhow, I use a mandrel bit for the feet callouses however, it leaves some rough spots. The mandrel sucks for the fingernail callouses. So I tried these bits specifically to smooth out the feet raggedyness after using the mandrel, and to do the fingernail side callouses. These bits are amazing for that! One thing I didn't expect is the grit extends under the base so you can use that 90° angle that is formed at the base to really get into some tight spots without hitting the nail. I use that part of the bit more than I use the sides or tip. I took off one star for not having directions or explaining the difference in grit based on the color band but those are easy things to Google.

These are okay. They're pretty cheap, but their tips are useless because the diamond coverage is so poor there. I thought maybe I wasn't pressing hard enough or something, but when I checked it under a magnifying glass, there was a clear difference in diamond coverage between the bottom and the tip. This makes the wider part of the cone the only useful part, while the tip just glides over your skin doing barely anything, even on the coarsest bit. This is irritating as it's basically only useful as a drum-sanding bit, and the entire point of the conical shape is to give you a narrow portion to work with for tight areas. That said, the parts that do have good coverage work pretty well, and while all of the bits are fairly non-aggressive, there is a slight difference on the finer ones people might appreciate. The cost is also pretty low. I'd still have preferred to buy a set for a few more dollars from another company that has a better manufacturing process.

These look nice, but the instructions say to soak feet and then use, that way the metal won’t get too hot on your skin- the problem is once you soak and dry feet the bits do not grind down the hard skin on your heels. They do not remove anything at all! Do not buy for heels or calluses

I used this on my calluses on my feet doing a dry pedicure and it worked great! After seeing the “teeth” on the bit, I was worried it might hurt but it didn’t at all. I watched a few videos which were very helpful before first use. I recommend working in circular motions with light pressure for best results.

This is an amazing bit for removing hardened skin and built up cuticle, it works fast and safe to use on skin as it only removes the hardened bit, also a great bit for sealing the cuticle. It's very multi-dimensional bit and I love this brand for beginner nail techs or those who love to do their own nails.

Purchased these for use in my spa. My only complaint is, they dull quite quickly and the color tarnishes after sanitizing, as compared to others I have ordered. Quality is reflective of the price.
