Seam Sealing Tape T-2000X – Hot Melt 3-Layer Waterproof – 5 Metres - Iron On (Dark Grey, 22mm Width)

I don’t normally leave reviews but I was super impressed with this tape. I bought a mountain equipment waterproof on Vinted. Unfortunately after re-proofing and tumble drying (exactly following the care instructions) some of the tape came off. Fast forward to using the tape and the coat is as good as new. It was an exact match to the existing tape and sticks well. I used the iron on hot with no steam and the tape sticks straight away. It was a fairly slow process but I’m a bit OCD and wanted it to look perfect. Couldn’t be happier.

Worked really well, but before you buy it try just putting a hot iron and tea towel over the old tape, I found it just re melted the glue and did most of the job without needing new tape.

Ironed on nicely. I was very careful to ensure it was well glued down on seams that had been well cleaned. I let it cure for a few days. Then I washed in a gentle, low temperature wash using Nik Wax wash. All the tape came off. Very disappointing as this took me a long time to do.

Easy to put on and use. Does the job.

Having read some of the previous reviews, I purchased this product with a bit of trepidation. As suggested by others, I followed the instructions diligently, firstly on a test piece, before going for broke. A medium heat setting on the iron, using a small sheet of Bakewell to keep separation between the iron and the tape and then about 10 seconds of gentle pressure (I was working with a heavy material) gave me a very strong bond.

Good service. Promptly delivered. Has every appearance of being very satisfactory.

take it slow and but by bit. the tape is a lot heavier than what was originally on my goretex shell but it's done the job. used an iron at mid temp and used grease proof paper most of the time as the glue seaps out the edges of the tape a little and didn't want a sticky iron. I found I didn't need to be super careful

I followed the instructions and set my iron to medium heat. Cut the strip to size, peeled the white plastic strip, lined it along the seam and ironed it on. The ridged top melted onto the iron and took half of the strip away onto the iron. I managed to get it off luckily. This product isn't as good as ones I've previously bought.
