Review: Es mi shampoo en seco favorito, mejor que muchas marcas. No deja el pelo tieso, ni blancoso, es fácil de peinar. Review: Obviously, this isn't meant to replace actual shampoo. I bought it as a backup for times when I just can't wash my hair. We get power outages occasionally that mean no hot water in my house and I don't want to go through the hassle of heating up water on the stove to wash my hair. I mean, a sponge bath is as much effort as I want to make during a power outage. I tried it out twice, without needing to, just because I wanted to see how it works. I have very fine, straight hair that's cut in a chin length bob. My hair isn't thin, there's a lot of it, just the strands are very fine. My hair is also on the dry side, it usually doesn't really look dirty for a few days after I wash it. I usually wash it every 2-3 days. I color it with Clairol dye. I don't use styling products beyond shampoo and conditioner and sometimes a tiny bit of argan oil after I wash it. I blow dry my hair but don't use styling appliances like curling irons or straight irons or anything. I let my hair go a few days in order to test how this stuff works. It's a very fine spray powder that you should generously spray all over the base of your hair, moving the hair in sections to try to coat as much of it as possible. I let it sit for a few minutes, then combed it out. It smells pleasant. It makes my hair look not dirty but the feel when I run my hands through it is weird. Sort of like I have too much product in it. It will definitely do for when I have no way to wash my hair. I don't think I'd use it on any kind of regular basis just because the feel is weird and I tend to run my hands through my hair a lot throughout the day. But it could save me the embarrassment of looking like a greasy mess if I have a power outage.

I have very dry, colored hair and don't want to damage it by washing it constantly but I do use styling products that build up and make my hair look limp. I was never a fan of dry shampoo because it always looked white or dusty in my hair but this one was inexpensive and a brand I like so I gave it a shot. I like it. It does have a very strong coconut scent which is good for those times when I might have odors in my hair like smoke, food, or any other thing that tends to make hair smell a bit nasty. I think the scent is a bit too strong. It does wear down after about 15 minutes but never completely goes away. The spray is a fine powder mist but doesn't look powdery. I spray mostly at the roots, lifting each layer. I then flip my head over and run my fingers through my hair. When I flip my head back up, my hair is all over the place but it feels clean, certainly smells better than dirty hair might, and has a ton of texture. Because I have a layered style, texture is the first to go when my hair is weighed down with styling products. This NYM dry shampoo revives my texture and volume and gets rid of build up. I don't know if it would work great on very oily hair but it definitely works for my dry but weighed down and in need of a clean slate hair. The price is very reasonable too. I took a star off for the too strong scent.

Let me start by saying I've tried many dry shampoos in the past year. I'm one of those people that has to wash every day because I start looking greasy in about 12 hours. I can't even make it a full day, so unless I want to look like I'm day two hair, I need something if I'm going out. Others I've tried either leave my hair looking ok but feeling gross and nearly impossible to run my fingers through. And a couple had such a strong scent I threw them away. This product does leave a feel, like a texture I can't explain, but it's not like the others. My hair still moves and doesn't clump together. The smell is great! Faint enough to not notice, but doesn't leave my hair stinking like day two hair. I have serious issues with the smell of "old" hair. No white residue, and the best part is I can use this immediately after I wash to add volume to my roots. My hair is really flat and lifeless, this helps a ton! I still don't like the feel of unwashed hair so it's been an adjustment, and for me by day two it feels disgusting, but still looks good. I can wake up and go to the store without worrying about it. I still haven't progressed to a full day at the office on two day hair, but I'm working on no wash weekends. Baby steps. Definitely give this a try!

I have used several products over the years with results that were...well...eh. While all absorbed the oil to allow me to go another day without a hair wash, many did not have any particular smell or a smell that was as nice as my shampoo. This is so beachy coconutty - I love it. I use it during the summer, when small amounts of sweat can flatten my hair. The fact that it will allow me to scrunch it back into my wavy summer hair without loss of the waves it fantastic.
