Very effective and for the price, you can't go wrong. Works in BOTH directions. As in, if either source goes above 13.3 volts it will join them.

Works just as advertised.. it seems not quite designed for heavier gauge cables, as far as physical space to secure them, etc.. , yet otherwise works great and exactly as advertised.

I fitted this Isolator to a 35 ft Bruno Commercial Fishing Boat with a Cat Marine Engine with 2 4D Batteries for the Engine, and a 4D House Battery! I installed the Isolator on Sunday the 24th February 2025, and it worked Perfectly! The Boat Owner went Fishing on Monday, and called me up when He returned in the evening and said that the Voltmeter on the Isolator went off when he was pulling in his Lobster Pots with the hydraulic winch, but was still able to pull all of the pots! He thought that the Isolator failed! He didn't check the House Voltmeter on the Panel, just the Engine Voltage on the Instrument Panel! I think checked the Isolator after starting the Engine, and it worked Perfectly, despite fact that the Voltmeter wasn't lighting up, but the single LED light showing that the Isolator was connecting with the Engine Battery and Still Charging the House Battery, because it was Fully Charged when I checked it!

Terrible instructions and technical support when trying to get information, no response to which terminal is atarting battery even with one terminal painted red or info on what red/green lights indicate as Installed per the instructions. Purchased for a dual battery system in my 1955 chevy pu after installing stereo/amp) and in two days the new group 34 batteries ( one starting one deep cycle) are dead after installing the unit with a 90 amp alternator conversion, has a draw of some sort out of unit ( because the batteries have no draw with amp meter or spark when connecting the battery cables with or without the unit in system) liked the fact it had a volt meter but removed it installed a set of isolation manual dual battery switches in system ( one for load and one for charging system to charge both batteries onlybissue maybe and have had no problem since
