Cloud Up Free Standing 2 Person Backpacking Tent Ultralight Double Layer Camping Tents for Two Person

So I put the tent up in the garden. Easy to pitch. The tent materials including the fabrics, guylines, and clips, are lightweight while still seeming fairly robust. If the fabrics were much thinner and lighter weight I'd have doubts about their durability. There are 12 aluminium pegs supplied, total weight of 93g so around 8g per peg. They are 15cm long with a "Y" cross section. They look adequate for most conditions. A good balance of weight V function. Better than the silly spikes supplied with some tents. I'd possibly add a few bigger pegs for staking the main guys in loose ground or high winds. A bonus point for the tent bag being a loose enough fit that the tent is easy to pack back into it. The flysheet seams are taped on the inside. Some sort of thin clear tape which is very well glued or bonded to the flysheet. No risk of leaks through the seams. I wasn't sure about the colour. I'd have preferred a dark green if available in the silicone fly version. In reality though the grey is fairly dull and won't jump out from the background in most situations. So not too bad if you want a tent that doesn't jump out when pitched not far off the road. Some weights. Inner - 457g Flysheet - 432g Poles - 344g Pegs - 93g Guylines (3) - 12g Overall weight without footprint 1375g Overall weight with footprint 1630g Weight for flysheet/footprint setup with no inner - 1173g It gives a fairly taut pitch but I can see how with the large side panels and the single pole at the rear it would be vulnerable to high side winds. I may add some extra guy points on the bottom of the fly to dampen down the flapping if it is a problem. The tent is spacious when viewed as a big one man tent rather than a two man. I'm 6ft3 and can sit up straight in the tent with a couple of inches clearance over my head. The interior dimensions are width 120cm , length 210cm, height 100cm. While tight for a two man there would be plenty space for one large person and a child or dog. Or one large person and a set of panniers. At a height of 189cm I just fit in the tent lengthways and no more. My head and feet touch when lying on my back. The 21cm length over my height is used up with a combination of the sloping bottom of the inner tent and lying with my toes pointing down. Lying diagonally gives a bit of clearance. The inner/outer separation at the foot of the tent is big enough that touching the inner with my feet would not be an issue in bad weather. Other than the borderline length the tent is very spacious. The large door and generous width mean entering the tent is easy. I just crawl in then turn round. Much easier than the smaller Argos Po Action 1 or the Terra Nova Laser. It would be usable as a two person tent for the odd night but for longer tours it would be too tight and in bad weather I suspect that with two occupants the inner tent would be getting pushed against the outer frequently which could get sleeping bags damp if any condensation was transferred from the inside of the flysheet. My initial impression is that it is a spacious and reasonable light one person tent for use in reasonably good weather. Almost 5 stars but I'm not sure how well it will perform on a windy site as the sides are not that tight when pitched. The price/weight/size combination is excellent though. I'll revise this to 5 stars if it performs better than expected in the wind.

I don't know what happened with the two 1 star reviews, but, despite being a bit short inside, the tent I got is awesome. It can be set up with the inner mesh tent, or with the included footprint, the latter gives more room and less weight (which is already pretty low at just under three pounds). Without the inner mesh tent, it's similar to using a tarp, but with excellent weather protection. I have had zero leaks, all seams are spot on, no loose threads and everything came taped and sealed from the factory. The included aluminum pegs are well made "V" shaped rather than the "Y" shaped ones I am used to. The stakes and ropes have their own stuff sack as does the pole(s), everything fits into the main stuff sack with a but of room left over. Admittedly, I was holding my breath on this one. I wasn't sure if I was wasting my money as the price is close to that of a name brand tent. Once I got it and set it up a couple of times I liked it, once I used it, I loved it. I have a couple of other items by Naturehike and they have all been very good value for the money, this tent is proving that to be true to an even higher degree.

Easy to setup, not too heavy, great quality, and it has enough space for me and all my gear. Its definitely a tent I wouldnt use it between late fall and early spring, but who cares at this price point! Highly recommend it.
