The cable as is does not work for the CCD-TRV58. I had to cut the cable in half and splice the wires correctly to get it to work. The cable as is from the end of the 3.5mm jack is yellow, white, red, ground. The CCD-TRV58 requires it to be white, yellow, ground, red. Other than it not working on a camera listed as working the cable is fine.

Review for ABLEGRID AV Audio/Video cable: This cable is a 3.5MM TRRS connector on one end, and 3 RCA male connectors on the other end: the 3 RCA cables are for composite video, and audio L/R. I wanted to get playback signal into a small battery powered TV that only has a 3.5mm combined audio/video input. The pinout I needed is Tip= video, Ring1/Ring2= L/R audio, and sleeve= shared ground. This cable works for me. Unfortunately, several reviewers who are familiar with Sony video camera inputs say that this is not the pinout needed for those devices. It's worth pointing out that the pinout of similar adapters is not standardized: different manufacturers have different requirements. There isn't anything 'wrong' with the pinout of this cable as delivered, but it is wrong if it's advertised for a particular use, and doesn't match that requirement. The product page doesn't give the pinout, other than claiming compatibility with specific Sony Camcorders. I'm deducting a couple of stars for a misleading description, and no accurate pinout being shown. The cable itself functions fine, if it matches your need.
