Sundara Stonewashed Rayon Embroidered Mid Length Dress

I love this style of dress. I bought this dress because I have a similar in a rusty-red color and love it. The design of the dress is awesome for contra dancing or any other kind of dancing in which you'd like to have a super twirly skirt. My other dress doesn't have the bodice separate from the skirt at the waist like this one; it has vertical panels instead, which is more flattering for me since I have a larger stomach. Since I put a belt on these anyway, it doesn't bother me that much.Attention!: if you're going to twirl in this dress, please know that it will show off your entire body below the bodice. Wear shorts, leggings, or sexy underwear, whatever you want... but know that it will be seen. The skirt will be parallel to the floor when you twirl, but it will be level with your waist. Personally, I love this and is exactly why I bought it.The lacing on the bodice in the front will not do much to tighten the dress. Personally, I don't like how it ties at the top as the really long ties will bounce against my chest. So, instead I re-laced it the other way and it ties at my waist, which I prefer.I didn't know this when I bought it, but this dress has ties on each side of the waist so one can tie them in back (or front, whatever you like, I suppose). Not what I wanted, but they don't bother me. Could easily be removed if it was bothersome.The royal blue color is vibrant and beautiful and I love it. I might buy another one of these dresses, just because it's so awesome. Rayon fabric is awesome for me. Be careful on the first wash or two! These dresses sometimes have excess dye in them and can bleed super easily. I wear this dress for contra dancing, which in July is the most sweat-inducing activity I can think of. It's cool and every guy I dance with loves dancing with me because of the dress -- they like watching it twirl!Ok, long review. Boiling it down: buy it. I think it's awesome.

This dress is so gorgeous and I was impressed with the fit. The 1x/2x fits more like a 2x, which was good because I usually fit a 2x or 3x and wasn't sure which to get. If you have a very large chest or a wide waist, consider sizing up. The back of the bodice is stretchy so there is some room for larger chests but the waist is not stretchy at all so if you're in an "apple shaped" body there may be some discomfort when you sit, bend, etc. The uneven hem is so pretty! The shortest part was about mid thigh on me, and parts of the fabric are sheer, so a taller person may find they need shorts or tights underneath for full coverage. The color is amazing and I love the shiny thread throughout the embroidery on the front. Very pleased that it's just metallic thread so I don't have to worry about tiny beads falling off. This dress is going to make it's debut as part of a fairy costume for an event, but I'm definitely going to wear it again and again!

Such a beautiful and comfortable dress, possibly the prettiest I've ever owned!This one does have more of a smell than the other pieces I ordered from this brand, but it is made with Rayon so that is expected due to the manufacturing processes and will dissipate with time.The issue with this dress is the arm holes- they gap at the sides which gives the illusion of it being too large. In reality, this is just because the straps are too long, and I will be fixing it by shortening them- I took a picture holding them up to be shorter so you can kind of see how it helps to pull the excess fabric in under your arms.It's a bit longer on me than the photos looked, so bear that in mind as I am not short- I'm 5'6, and the shortest point of the hem reaches just below the knee on me. However it is a good length on me and has lovely glow and movement so I don't mind!This dress is really comfy and is made of a thin, soft T-shirt type material. It seems breathable enough for summer but not too thin for cooler months. It's very versatile and I can see myself dressing it up for evenings as well as wearing it casually as a daytime sundress!!

I've been watching this dress for quite a while now. I loved the color and the look was perfect for the Renaissance Fairs I go to. Normally I'm all about making my own costume, so I didn't order. Then I came back to it the other day and noticed the gray was nearly sold out in my size. After considering for five minutes, I put in my order and happily received it earlier than expected.I was so excited that when it arrived on Saturday, I made sure that I was wearing it the very next day. I wore it for about four hours while grocery shopping and running around. My favorite part by far is the skirt, I kept spinning around because the skirt flares out so beautifully, I wore black leggings with mine. Since I'm so short, this falls below my knees, so I'm glad I didn't pick the longer version. I looked for unraveling and loose threads due to other reviews, but I found my dress came in nice and completely in tact.Like other reviewers said, this dress needs no slip and can be worn with a regular bra. That's how I wore it with leggings so I could spin around. I plan on hand washing this dress only for fear of unraveling and holes like other reviewers mentioned because I really love this dress. All in all this was a great buy and much cheaper than what I usually spend on making my own costume.
