Amazing! A true workhorse
We love this vacuum sealer! We recently used this past weekend in processing for pigs and simultaneously used a newly purchased Food Saver vacuum sealer to compare. This unit was highly preferred and had a lot of features we really appreciated, just a couple of things we wish could be tweaked and that would create a seriously amazing machine. Best features: - Handle for easy lifting and closing. Much preferred over locking buttons or lever mechanisms that most other brands have. They saved our thumbs and the weight of the top of the machine made it a breeze to use for the long time span we had used it for. - Storage for one roll and included magnet latch for cutting bags. No more needing to use scissors or a paper cutter! This was one of the best improvements from the previous sealer we used. - Large tray for collection of liquid while sealing. Compared to the food saver we used, the tray for collection was incredibly larger and even though we weren’t doing food that was wet or had much liquid come out, it would’ve been much easier to clean had that been the case. - This was a workhorse: we used it for about 13 hours without a whole lot of long breaks. The day prior to our processing, I also had to create about 300 bags and it had no issues in doing that amount of work. Areas for improvement: - Downward sloping section for vacuum seal area. The only upside of the Food Saver that we used was that it had a downward sloped section at the front of the machine which allowed ease of use in positioning the bag and keeping into position while the unit was closed. This unit is simply flat and raised a few inches from the counter which required some finesse while positioning the opening of the bag in order to make sure it would seal appropriately. This was not a make or break problem but for the number of times that we sealed food, it was just slightly cumbersome. Keep in mind, this does have a little bit bigger footprint than other models but is not at all heavy for the size. my brother-in-law literally could not stop talking about how much he loved this unit and has used several in the past. If you are a homesteader or process large amounts of meat or produce on a regular basis, this is an awesome unit to start out with and I think the bang for your buck is incredible. Quit reading reviews and just buy it already ;)

This is a powerhouse of a sealer!
Right from unboxing this sealer it looked deluxe compared to my last two sealers. Much more control of the pressure and sealing time than I had on my other units. Being new to the sealer we just kept it at the default setting for pressure and sealing time. I had a few pounds of pulled pork that I smoked to freeze . Cut a bag sealed it filled with pulled pork and began to seal. even at the default setting the two packs of pork shrunk down to rock hard. I was impressed. I also had two huge Chuck Roasts to freeze. Again, at the default setting It pumped the air out easily. Worked like a champ. Did a more than adequate job but if I was to do it over again, I would have increased the pressure to 4 instead of 3 just to see the difference. I know I will have a learning curve experimenting with the controls that I didn't have on the base models that I have used. I think it's a great sealer with a lot of power and versatility. Seems like a quality-built machine. Will it stand the test of time? I think it has a good chance! I can't wait to use it again. The price was quite a bit more than my previous sealers, but if you want or need to tailor the control to the job this sealer might be for you.

Very good sealer at this price point
A very nice vacuum sealer. It has good options and has worked very well with moist foods. I like that you can settings to control the sealing time as well as a lot of control over the vacuum pressure. This was a great replacement for my food saver that finally failed. The only small complaint is that there's no on-off switch so I plugged it into a heavy duty powerstrip that had an off switch and what station nearby. The directions tell you to unplug it. Other than that it would have gotten five stars which I don't give out lightly.

Elegant, effective, easy to use.
This INKBIRD food vacuum is simple to use and does a great job. You can read the instructions (if you want to dive into all of its capabilities) - but operating it is pretty easy out-of-the-box. It comes with individual food bags for quick use, and a roll of food bags for jobs of any size. The five buttons on top of the food vacuum are clearly labeled - DRY VAC & SEAL, MOIST VAC & SEAL, SEAL, PULSE, and STOP. PULSE allows you to manually control the vacuum, the other buttons are pretty self explanatory. While I found this food sealer to be pretty much plug-and-play, it also has additional features like a suction hose for compatible Tupperware. Also - it looks pretty cool in low light. A sleek metal machine with LED's and a "windshield". If you like clean aesthetics in your kitchen, this is for you.

Disappointing Performance Despite Following Instructions
I followed the instructions and watched the video on how to prep food with moisture, specifically when it comes to cutting up fruit. As suggested, I froze the fruit first before sealing it, hoping that would help. However, despite following these steps, I had trouble getting the bags to seal properly. The vacuuming process didn't work unless I manually pressed the auto seal button while it was vacuuming, which wasn’t ideal. When I tried freezing more food, I ran into even more issues. I’d go to the freezer, only to find that the vacuum-sealed bags had air in them, which defeats the purpose of using a vacuum sealer in the first place. I repeated the process several times, hoping the results would improve, but each time the same thing happened: air was still trapped in the bags. To be honest, I don't write many reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this product. After reading all the positive reviews, I was really expecting a better performance. Unfortunately, my experience hasn't been as positive. Despite following the instructions carefully, it seems like this product isn't as reliable as the glowing reviews would suggest. The bags should stay air-free, but the recurring issue of air being trapped inside is frustrating and makes it hard to trust the product for long-term food storage.

Good value, good quality, and easy to use.
I received this just in time for the beginning of our fall harvests. The first thing I noticed was the weight- it’s heavy, in a good way, as it feels much more solid than my old Food Saver. It seems very well made, with a great roll holder and cutter incorporated into the machine. While the buttons are fairly intuitive, I did read the included instruction manual to explain “pulse” and “gentle”, new to me. I first tried a simple “dry” and ‘vacuum and seal’ on normal. I was packaging dehydrated zucchini slices, and found that it worked great, but since the food was so dry, it made a bit of a crunching sound. So I used the ‘pulse’ and ‘seal’, following the instructions, and it was perfect. I love that feature the best, as you can decide how much to vacuum before sealing. For sun dried tomatoes, the regular setting worked great and I think that will be the setting I use most often, except for very wet and liquidy foods. The ‘moist’ and ‘liquid’ settings are great, although I only tried them each once. The ‘liquid’ setting would be suitable for foods for sous vide for sure, and the gentle vacuum setting means the force of the vacuum would be less on foods with liquid. The time to vacuum and seal was amazingly quick, and it has settings to make it take longer to seal, or shorter, but I found it was perfect with the default. The options are something I’ve never had before in a vacuum sealer, and I think the versatility is better than others I’ve used in the past. I really like the size of this machine- solid and big enough to be able to use any size bag, but not taking up more room in the cabinet than the old Food Saver I had. The seal it makes is thick and firmly secure. The included bag roll is a nice bonus- good quality and perfect fit inside. It comes with the attachments for canisters but I’ve never used those in the past, and don’t anticipate every using it, but it looked well made as well when I unboxed everything. Extra seals are included as well. I plan on using this for packaging our harvested venison for the freezer, as well as other meat too. I was concerned about the price vs cheaper models, but I’ve had cheaper ones in the past and it’s true you get what you pay for. Overall, I’d give this vacuum sealer an A on quality for the price as well as the vacuum sealer itself. Sturdy, well made, quick, fairly quiet (it does make some noise as do other vacuum sealers), and dependable on the vacuum seals it created make this a good buy and I’m very happy with this. I would recommend it.

High Quality, Fast, Compact, Easy to Use
I posted a video of unboxing the vacuum sealer so you can see everything you get with it. I got this so I could vacuum seal smoked salmon and other meats before freezing to extend the storage life. Right away I noticed the high quality of the vacuum sealer. It’s a solid, heavy duty machine. The instructions were pretty basic (like only 4 steps). But it turns out that it is so easy to use there really wasn’t a need for more instructions. The first item I tried was a piece of salmon. The machine has a nice cutter built into it to cut the bag to the right size. Sealing the end of the bag took less than 10 seconds!! Then I dropped a piece of salmon in and the rest of the vacuum and seal took about 20 seconds. The unit has a nice countdown clock, so you know exactly how long it will take. Using this machine was simple. There was no assembly or setup; I literally took it out of the box and sealed my first piece of food in a few minutes. The thing I like is that the unit is compact and will be easy to store when not in use. It also came with an accessory hose attachment that will connect to a wine bottle top I guess. Pretty cool. I’ll have to look into the wine stoppers that go into this accessory.

For the closure it works great with moist items
I simply love this machine. It works like it is supposed to and it is great with sealing moist items.
