Where Chefs Eat: A Guide to Chefs' Favorite Restaurants

NOT COMPREHENSIVE ENOUGH
I could not believe that, with many smaller cities such as Charleston included, Washington D.C. had no reviews at all. I was especially disappointed because I live in Baltimore. Also, even for a city like New York City, there were glaring omissions and not that many restaurants included. For Example, not one of the many wonderful restaurants on 46th St. (Restaurant Row) was listed. We especially love LeRivage, a French restaurant there.

Happy with the purchase
I purchased this as a gift for my brother-in-law who really gets creative in the kitchen. His reaction to it was great. It has tons of information for about any location imaginable. It is great for restaurant ideas when traveling or for food inspiration from restaurants that chefs themselves like. It has an attractive corner so it is great for aesthetics if displayed as well.

While an extremely hefty book, it is lacking in details.
Gave as a gift to my son. He loved it. I thought there should be more details.... especially in USA.

A foodies dream reference book for travel or in your home town. My daughter raved about Christmas morning. Started pointing out all the restaurants she had frequented from the book.

The book is great, but mine showed up with the cover torn from binding. I don't have time or interest in sending back and waiting for a new one. Disappointing as it was a special gift.

Sent 2 and gifts and kept one for ourselves. Great book because it’s not all expensive restaurants or “fancy” foods. The recipients LOVED it. Great gift.

Outdated - Missing key info - Mostly expensive restaurants
Coming from Athens, I saw very few restaurants, most of them outdated, while key ones were missing.Lots of pages on London, and disportionate presentation of certain cities compared to others.Info is outdated. No value for money at this time. If a revised version is published, then it may be worth buying.
