Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Cert Guide (Old Edition)

A good book to learn fundamentals of ethical hacking.

An excellent CEHv8 book with the latest paths and guidance to ensuring that a candidate is sure to pass the CEHv8 Exam. This is such an excellent release. For all those who are asking themselves "What do I get for the PRACTICAL QUESTIONS and ANSWERS" in the electronic version. The questions and answers are included within the e-book version and that technology allows you to study without a fuss of paper pages.

This is a great book!Starting off, it is easy to read, but make no mistake, it does go into great depth. A very useful reference for anyone dealing with Security, not just the one studying for an exam.Highly recommended

It is really good book, but I found some mistakes in it. I think it is not from author of it.i.e. It says:The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved the following three blocks of the IP address space for private networks : Class A network IP address range = 10.0.0.0–10.255.255.255, Class B network IP address range = 172.31.0.0–172.31.255.255, and Class C network IP address range = 192.168.255.0– 192.168.255.255.Look at the Class B range they are not correct and I saw them few times in this book.

I used this book to help study for the CEH exam along with some other ones. Two things I noticed during my studying: Appendix A: Review questions #19 gives incorrect ranges for Class B and C IP Addresses and Chapter 5 "Do I Know This" Question #7 should be C. Chroot instead of Chkrootkit. Otherwise, I found this book to be a valuable studying tool

This book is a great read. It is particularly easy to understand if you have a fairly decent understanding of how networking works prior to your trying to become certified. My only concern is how poorly made the binding is on this book. I have had it for a couple months carrying it to clas twice per week and the pages are already begining to fall out.
