Good Purchase.
Excellent premium product I would say. 30x excellent lighting varieties a real bonus harsh white, Tungsten glow and I think brighter white. The there is a small light on the loupe. The loupe is a very high magnification. A little tricky to use but not hard. The distance of your eye and the object the other side has a very tight depth of field of course. Good purchase I recommend. Excellent Case too.

High quality item, excellent magnification and range of light options
This is a quality item. Very good range of magnification and light. Easy to use. Perfect for improving clarity of small items. Highly recommended if you are a stamp collector.

Well made
Its a well made magnifier wish it was a bit larger I find it a bit irritating that no charging light to tell you if it needs or if its fully charged Its not cheap so think for this price a tiny light to say its charged or not would be in order hence why ive not given it 5 stars

Strong Magnification and Bright LED Light make Painting Small Details Easy!
I’m a big fan of the VisionAid Magnifier and it’s really helped me to up my miniature assembly and painting game! I’d previously tried quite a few alternatives before from other suppliers but always found them to be too cumbersome - they either get in the way generally or not offer enough light or magnification to make it worthwhile. With the VisionAid, it’s really lightweight and comfy to hold or easy to set up using its freestanding mode. The light has four different settings to help you pick what’s right for you - I’ve found the warm light (option 2) to be my favourite although when I’m paying particular attention to colour then option 1 is more colour accurate. Whichever option you choose though the image is really clear with the 30x magnification. I was able to spot new issues with models I’d previously painted that since look way better now I’ve gone back and touched them up. I’ve also found it unexpectedly to be a great way to photograph my models through the lens and share them with friends and fellow hobbyists! Finally it’s also worth mentioning the case. Being a parent of small kids having a nice hard-shell case to securely put the magnifier away is really helpful. It’s also a good size and just generally makes it look and feel even more premium. Definite recommend for anyone else that needs to see small details up close!

BEWARE 3X, NOT 30X!
PROS: 1) GOOD MAGNIFICATION 2) ADJUSTABLE HEAD ANGLE & BASE ANGLE 3) LOUPE LENS 4) RECHARGEABLE 5) MULTIPLE LEDS GIVING SMOOTH ILLUMINATION CONS: 1) CHEAP FEELING 2) SAY 30X BUT IT'S ACTUALLY 3X!!! 3) BODY COULD DO WITH BEING TALLER FOR MINIATURE PAINTING I bought this to help my dodgy old eyes paint some miniatures from the board game, Scythe. I'm also going to get back into model making after a 50 year hiatus. However, this item is OK, but the description is false. It's not 30x but 3x. In other words, the magnification is three times actual size, not 30 times. Of course, that should be obvious, because 30x would need a much smaller lens which is held very close to the object with a terrible field of view. However, there are other deficiencies for miniature painting. These include potentially not enough space between the lens and your hands, because the body is potentially too short. For "normal" work, sewing/embroidery, reading, it's fine, but I can't recommend it for miniatures.
