Strong and Quiet Airflow
The Cloudplate T2 is a great device to cool my 6U home network rack. The rack lives under the stairs in the basement, and was prone to heat build-up. I recently purchased two AC Infinity AIRPLATE S7's to circulate air in the closet. To assist with air circulation, I had a fan under the rack, blowing air up through the components. It worked, but was loud and unsightly. So the Cloudplate T2 was purchased to make the solution work a little better. The unit is very sturdy and professional looking. The LED screen is bright and easy to read. The temperature probe cable is long enough to reach any components, and enables the many dynamic fan modes. The options are easy to configure and installation into the rack was quick. The fans seem to be good quality. They have the ability to move quite a bit of air through the rack, while being quiet. Being on AUTO mode has reduced the temperature of my switch by 34 degrees F. Presumably I could increase that by turning up the fans, which would make it louder. But even on full blast, I can't really hear the fans outside the closet. The one issue I've faced is that I think the Cloudplate T2 is a little too deep for standard racks. My rack is 13.8", and the Cloudplate T2 is 13.5". If there were no additional cables, the Cloudplate T2 would fit perfectly. However the power cable and thermal probe stick out half an inch or so, which increases the depth of the rack, making it a tight fit. If the cables had an L-connector, laid flat, or if the unit was slightly less deep, the fit would be better. I was able to jam the unit all the way to the back of the rack, but I worry this will break the cables in the future. Maybe longer screws could alleviate this. Overall, this is a quality product, and with proper maintenance, I expect it to keep my equipment cool for a long time.

Great cooling solution for your rack.
AC Infinity makes some great rack cooling devices and this is no different. The fans are quiet and the airflow is pretty good. The key thing is to seal the rack on the sides and back so that these fans can create an updraft. If you have an open back, you will not see the benefits. Was super easy to install and connects to other fans (like an intake) so the devices work in concert together. The cost is a bit higher than some others, but in all honesty you get what you pay for and I would buy again.

AC Infinity CLOUDPLATE T2 w/ top exhaust is perfect for my cooling needs.
I finally put the money in a nice quality cooling component. It's really nothing more than cooling fans that are precision controlled. Aesthetically, it's beautiful, brushed gunmetal grey. Functionality is incredible with 6 cooling speeds and with those are varying decibels of noise. Alarm for overheating and even an A/C type function if your desired thermal temperature is out of range it will turn on the fans to cool accordingly. A very intelligent unit for what it is. It is of course designed for a cooling rack or server configuration cabinet, but I found this model to be optimal for open cooling to flush out the hot air these receivers generate and my model has a substandard cooling unit/power supply, but with a little research and some know how it has performed beautifully when cooled properly. This unit does its job perfectly purging the hot air from the unit itself in an upward exhaust. I recommend.

Nice finish, good fit, quiet, screen looks good
Cools my 8U wall mount network rack (with enclosed sides) very well. Dropped the temps in the whole cabinet about 12-15 degrees. Love the fan speed adjustment capability. I can hear it, but it is quiet enough for me ... keep in mind I run it in a laundry room/network closet so I don't really need silence in there.

Quiet! Efficient! Cooling!
Replaced an absurdly loud 4 fan 1U rack fan to cool our outdoor Network Video Recorder with many cameras and 2 8TB hard drives with this system. Room temps can get above 100 degrees and the NOISE from the old fans was aggravating but they worked. Finally, I decided to replace it with this temp controllable 1U top exhaust unit and it is amazing. Simple installation. Mounts just above the NVR in a small, open wall mounted 6U rack. A four fan laptop cooler sits below and supports the NVR on one of those 1U equipment trays. Together, even on the hottest days, the system remains well within tolerances - around 85 degrees. As the room temp drops below my preset threshold, the unit goes into wait mode. As for noise level, quiet enough to hardly notice. Well constructed and professional. Again, this is the Top Exhaust model and it definitely draws heat away from the NVR. Highly recommend.

Final Product Review 5/27/20
The product is just what ACInfinity lists. The fans are the upper scale type and are a little loud at speed level 3 and up. For me the noise level is ok. The rack is in a network devoted closet built for this. However, my staff and I did some air volume test and we all came up with the same conclusion. The positioning of the fans is an issue. The design needs to be in a triangle layout, with at least one fan closer to the front position. Why because many devices intake and cooling ports are closer to the front than the back. We wish ACInfinity would have thought of this. However the digital setup including the probe is unique, and you can find the hot spot in the rack and place the probe there, to gain a small bit advantage for keeping airflow moving when absolutely needed. Nice. The case is well built, the packaging was well done. The instructions well, a little weak, but I figured it out. LED menu screen is very nice and clear, the internal components and wiring was pretty good and organized. For all the customers who are going to use this, make sure you leave at least 1U full space below the fan rack for proper flow. This product is not designed to be used 1U to 1U. you must have space below and a 1/2U is not enough. I wish ACInfinity would have included velcro or a mounting tape of some sort for the probe. This would have finished out the product install. Now, be advise this product took, over two weeks to get to me and my staff, WAY WAY WAY too long. Please with the quality of your products ACInfinity, you should be the best in all aspects of shipping too. Work on getting products shipped out as originally stated, Work on this please. ----Final Thoughts The fan unit I will say has a good quality to it. Strong and the fans are ok. Does a good job of moving air around. I would have liked a bit quiet fan setup at all speeds, should be half the Db levels at max speed. But the db levels are much higher at max speed. Its actually louder than the fans in all my 1u devices put together. The layout of the fans has been a small issue with regards to air flow. A triangle layout would have been better, much better or maybe four fans instead of three, either way need to have a fan closer to the front of the unit for the devices above the unit that have cooling areas closer to the front. I can not give 5 stars because of the layout of the fans, but I do give 5 stars to the quality of the product. Shipping and customer service, well, lets say needs improvement. I recommend this product as long as you know the facts.

AC Infinity products are suitable for even the highest-end A/V enthusiast
I really like AC Infinity and own a variety of their products (e.g. an Airplate T7, two Airplate S3's, rack blanks, a Cloudplate T7-N, a CLOUDPLATE T6 PRO, and now a CLOUDPLATE T2). I know exactly what I'm getting with AC Infinity and their products are extremely reliable and have a high-end look and feel to them, from the way they are packaged to the accompanying literature. I purchased the Cloudplate T2 because I wanted to change how heat was managed within my AV rack, and more importantly, to make my rack as silent as possible. I enjoy being completely immersed in movies, and extraneous distractions and fan noises have recently become unacceptable in my theater environment. I was glad to hear the decreased volume in sound when I installed the Cloudplate T2 in my rack, but because I was aiming for total silence I opted to custom install Noctua fans in the unit. This took a bit of DIY creativity, since the AC Infinity fans are 38mm thick and the Noctua are 25mm. However, I feel that this fits my needs perfectly, and took and otherwise near-perfect rack accessory and made it completely perfect to my critical ears. I love AC Infinity and would purchase all the aforementioned products again if I needed to. If I kept my AV rack in a different room I would have never made the modifications- they are truly great products as they are. The designs are all well thought out and are absolutely worth the cost. I would easily recommend them to anyone.

Nice-looking unit, but way too loud
I purchased this device and mounted it at the top of a server rack in my home office. It installs fine, looks nice, and runs very nicely, with several modes of fan control. Unfortunately, the fans are WAY too loud. The control unit ramps up to a speed of 6... I found that speed 1 was perceptible, speed 2 was annoying, and anything more than that was loud. Speed 6 sounded like a wind column. It's way too loud for my home office setting. Also, I'm pretty puzzled because the fans don't seem to move as much air as their volume would suggest. At speed 6, I expected some serious force - instead, it was just like a gentle breeze. I'm mystified as to what the design choices were here. I replaced the unit with some 200mm Noctua fans that move as much air at 1/10th the noise level. It's a shame, because the I wanted to keep this unit since the rest of it appears to be well-designed.
