Es bietet eine angenehme Haptik und sieht auf meinem Schreibtisch sehr elegant aus. Ein kleiner Nachteil, den ich bemerkt habe, ist die Entwicklung von Flusen auf der Oberfläche. Diese lassen sich jedoch problemlos mit einem Flusenrasierer entfernen, was für mich keinen großen Aufwand darstellt. Ein größerer Kritikpunkt ist allerdings die Saugfähigkeit des Materials. Laut Beschreibung sollte das Mousepad nicht stark saugfähig sein, doch das Gegenteil ist der Fall. Ein unglücklicher Vorfall hat dies deutlich gemacht: Als mir meine Banane in meinen Kaffee gefallen ist, hat das Mousepad die Flüssigkeit sofort aufgesogen. Dies ist definitiv nicht ideal für ein Produkt, das Flüssigkeiten abweisen sollte. Zusammenfassend bin ich mit der Schreibtischunterlage zufrieden, obwohl es Raum für Verbesserungen gibt. Besonders die Saugfähigkeit des Materials sollte überarbeitet werden, um solche Missgeschicke besser zu bewältigen.

Though a word of warning, you might also need to invest in a debobbler as this mat with it's texture will bobble up quicker then a British person will complain about the weather. And once this happens you won't be so proud showing off your desk to your friends, colleagues and anyone else who happens to wonder by. However I now have two one for home and one for work. So no complaints from me.

Purchased this particular item to see whether I got on with having one of these large pads before potentially investing in a pricier one. First impressions are pretty good. It turns up in a sturdy cardboard tube without much in the way of excess packaging. Upon uncurling it you immediately encounter what might be the two biggest problems. One, is that the ends are really quite curled from being in the tube. It has been on my desk for about a week now, most of the time weighed down with various heavy items and although it is better than when new, there is still a definite curl to the edging. I hope this is temporary and will continue to improve. The other is much more subjective and unfortunately not a temporary thing. The material is quite rough/scratchy. If you're thinking of that super smooth Alcantara you get on something like a Surface laptop, or even the inside of a tablet screen protector case, it's not that. It's more of a rough tweed jacket kind of thing, or even one of those very low-profile door mats. My mouse seems more than happy gliding across it and so far there have been no snagged threads. Oddly it is during typing I feel the most discomfort rather than waving the mouse around. The anti-slip works as it should and a quick test with water shows that spills shouldn't be feared. Ultimately whether or not this pad is for you comes down to how sensitive your skin is. I like the colour and the size, and it has convinced me that oversized, material-based pads are the way I want to go. But, in the time it has taken to write this review I have found that I've been subconsciously raising my wrists further and further from the pad to escape the feeling of it.
