The sample of opal, was a real sample. With some other earth material with it. Sadly it was very small. And didn't have the same colouring as in the picture. I know quality opals would be a lot of money. None the less £10 isn't a fortune for a real piece I didn't have to dig out myself. Did to some extent fulfil my idea of seeing a real Opal in the raw....after watching opal hunters in Australia on TV.

Was not how it lookd in the picture. And is extremely small.

I just got this to say I owned an opal. Very nice. I take it out and look at it. It’s very very nice looking Pretty. I love it. I’m not doing anything with it. Maybe I hope. In the future. I will continue to deal in opals. Jim stones.

Ethiopian Opals come in so many colors, but I love green and this one just sparkles. I love it!

Be careful when buying unless you know approximately how large "carats" are and how much of that will actually be anywhere near usable. Mine was junk with very little usable gem material
