Despite appearances, they're very sturdy, with a welded chain anad heavy steel contruction - locks are a bit simple and probably vulnerable to a hairgrip, but for bedroom or dungeon use perfectly adequate! Look good and make a statement of intent when attached to the straps of a matt black leather backpack.

These are brilliant. They're very sturdy and are heavy duty for their intended purpose. They come with 2 keys which is always handy. Do be careful when playing in the bedroom that you lock the latch down so they don't tighten too tight, as they are unforgiving in their give. They're not meant for just soft play, they're hardcore and that's what you've paid for. They're easy enough to unlock with their push action in the key hole but it's still nice to not have an easy catch you can just flip to open them, that spoils the fun entirely. Just to reiterate; they are heavy duty in strength and build quality so they're a good investment. They aren't easy to open up just any old way and they are unforgiving if you tighten them too much, i've found this out much to my chagrin.

These are decent. I had similar handcuffs as a kid in the 90s. This is the classic toy handcuffs, though the model that does NOT have a safety release lever. Great for costumes or use in the bedroom. Not for official law enforcement or security use. The chain links are strong but not welded. These are NOT designed for genuine security needs of restraining people. In a pinch they would likely work to restrain an intruder, but it'd be better to get proper ones for that. They can be easily picked open with a paperclip or bobby pin / hair grip if you lose the keys. The double lock is a token feature really, because it won't stay double locked and can be accidentally or on purpose activated and deactivated at any time by anyone, even by the wearer's clothing! This design of handcuff, while in the modern age is visually world-renowned as toys, they are based on a real design of Japanese/Taiwan police handcuffs that date back to WW2. In 1980 handcuffs like this were used on Paul McCartney in 1980 in Japan when he was arrested (there's a picture out there somewhere). The "real" versions of these from history were made by 2 brands: Masuri and the later Takeda that made much cheaper versions. The Takeda were copied as toys, probably because of them not being a less than ideal design for modern use and preventing liability claims (needing a secure double lock).

These cuffs are brutally tough. I bought them for a stag do, didn't want a flimsy pair of plastic cuffs that would break after 5 minutes and these certainly delivered. I had the stag handcuffed to another unfortunate individual for about 8 hours and these cuffs meant there was no escaping! I would recommend some sweat bands or padding if you intend to wear them for long periods because they are not comfortable, but handcuffs were never built for comfort!

I bought these for a Stag weekend as recommended on a previous review for the stag and best man to spend the evening handcuffed together. As per other reviews these are not particularly comfortable, so that was ezpected. My first complaint is these will not fit someone with above average wrists, the best man is slim bit these would barely go on his wrists and ony managed to attach with one click. Thwy certainly wouldnt go on somwone larger. Whilst these are an upgrade from toy handcuffs, they barely lasted an hour before they broke where the chain attaches to the handcuff so for more that £20 I'm a little disappointed and so were the rest of the stag party.
