A very tasty, delicate rice noodle.
I purchased these on a bit of a whim.I usually buy egg noodles, but saw these and thought I'd try them. They're very tasty. Made from rice, these rice noodles are more delicate and a lot less 'heavy' than egg noodles.Ingredients wise, they are 90% rice and 10% tapioca starch. Please check, but I'm assuming that would make them OK for people who are gluten intolerant.Nutrition wise, they are unsurprisingly 81% carbohydrate, with negligible fat (less than 1%), salt and fibre. Although they are relatively high in protein, at 6.7%.They are very long. So just snap off as many as you require.Place them into a bowl, then pour boiling water over them.Leave for approx 5 mins. Give them a taste, to get them to the texture you like. Then drain and use as you would egg noodles. They are great as a basis of any Oriental noodle dish. Or add them to soups etc.Overall, because they are less filling than egg noodles, I think I prefer these.I shall be purchasing again.I hope you found this review helpful.
