Crehatos 9" x 12" Tracing Paper, Translucent Tracing Pad, 75 Sheets 38lb/60gsm Vellum Art Paper

Best tracing paper I’ve used in my classroom by far! Thin, smooth surface is clear enough to see reference image yet strong enough to withstand erasing. Plus it was super budget friendly! I plan to purchase again! Highly recommend!

I'm used to "onion skin" tracing paper, which is as fragile as it sounds -- this pad of Crehatos tracing paper is SO much easier to use! It's almost transparent when in contact with the thing you're tracing. I tried pencil, gel pen, and acrylic paint marker (fine tip) and all worked well. The gel pen had to dry a few seconds to prevent smearing, the others instantly didn't smear. The pencil erased well without tearing. The paper texture is almost vellum, not slick, so it takes your drawing medium accurately without gaps. The liquid pens (gel and acrylic paint) didn't bleed sideways at all, and didn't bleed through.The pad has firm cardboard backing and a thick paper front cover, so the tracing paper is well protected. The individual sheets were a bit challenging to tear off when I just pulled at an angle (paper still basically in place) but came off cleanly and easily when I flipped the page 180 degrees so it was flat against the cover and then gave a light angled tug.I'm delighted with this tracing paper! It's very see-through and not at all fragile. I recommend it.

I am thrilled with this tracing paper, it is very transparent, as you can see from this picture it’s beautifully clear. It’s much stronger than it looks and has a good feel to it, it’s nice to draw on. I’ve have used it to trace designs and then transfer the graphite to a soft carve lino black without problems. The only slight difficulty is that it can be difficult to remove a sheet of the paper from the pad.

This paper is very smooth and it is easy to see what’s underneath. It has a good weight so it easily remains flat in use. It was easy to see a magazine illustration without using a lightboard. Made various small examples and found it loves Micron pens, acrylic markers, colored pencils. It does ok with alcohol markers. Watercolors cause the paper to buckle, but it smoothed out well when dry. None of these bled through to the back or to what was under the paper. Everything went on very smoothly.When I removed the top page it caught the second page and caused two small tears. Others say to tear with authority and I wasn’t quite doing that. Also the tape holding the cover came unstuck about a third of the width – easily stuck back and can always use other tape. Very pleased with this paper.

I am by no means an artist. I obtained this paper from Crehatos to trace designs for embroidery patterns, making stencils, and various other little craft projects.The texture of the paper is smooth, yet it erases easily with no smudging for me so far. The paper is thicker than any other tracing paper I have had before, but still very flexible. We tried to use it for a sugaring stencil and it was far too flexible for that task.It does tend to wrinkle easily. If you are using it against a few other sheets of paper and your arm is laying on top, there will be lines left where they lay askew.My daughter who is the artist in the family claims that it us decent enough, but not great enough to get a full five stars with the price. It is $7 US at the time of this review.

I absolutely love the Crehatos 8.5" x 11" tracing paper! As a craft shop owner, I use this tracing paper on a daily basis and it has quickly become one of my go-to supplies. The 100 sheets in each pad provide more than enough for my projects, and the weight of the paper at 38lb/60gsm is perfect - it's heavy enough to withstand my tracing without tearing, yet still transparent enough for me to see through clearly.The smooth texture of the paper makes tracing easy, and I love how well my pen glides across the surface. I have used other tracing papers in the past, but none compare to the quality of Crehatos.Overall, I highly recommend this tracing paper for any crafters or artists looking for a reliable and high-quality product. It has truly become an essential in my shop and I can't imagine working without it.

I had no issues removing the top sheet. However, one must remove the vellum sheets from the pad with determination, as hesitation may cause the paper to tear. I used a permanent ink pen and pencil to trace several of my drawings. The ink copied, did not seep through the paper, and did not smear. It was quickly absorbed into the vellum, drying immediately. The pencil also drew smoothly on the piece of paper. Then, I could erase the pencil drawing without bunching or ripping the vellum paper. The paper’s transparency is excellent, and image copying has no issues. The pad contains a cardstock front and cardboard back, which should protect the unused sheets of paper. The tracing paper tears without issue should you need a smaller size. This 100-sheet vellum paper pad is a good value and will serve multiple artistic purposes.

Just the right thickness to be workable, but also very transparent. For making drawn shapes move completely from one place to another this stuff is indispensable. Nice tablet.
